here are some more mockups - going to go with transparent vinyl w/ orange splatter. i think it looks pretty fun and drives home the "pool toy" style. as you can see, there are a couple different approximations of how the splatter will look. there's no telling until it's done - that's the fun of splatter, every record will look a little different. it's also very hard to make mockup images of!
