early 2017: darius CD collection (Patreon)

so much for the last post of 2016, right? sometimes you just get the itch.

anyways: what it says on the tin! ERGOSPHERE and caractere difficile are getting beautiful CD releases to match with FRAMEDRAG's second print run - it's also getting another run. but there's more to it: ERGOSPHERE and caractere difficile got brand new masters. the stereo field is a bit wider, the bass frequencies are rounded out, the highs are really opened up, and the dynamic range has been restored quite a bit overall - and they're mastered to tape, of course. i think you'll find that they sound awesome. if you check the post, i've attached an MP3 (and a FLAC) of demos of the old vs new versions. most people probably won't hear much of a difference but it's night and day to me! i would like to get some kind of box or at least cardboard band made to hold these together, but that's gonna be tricky in a short run like this. you'll be able to pick up all 3 for $30 as it stands, unless a box or band to hold them together really drives up the production cost.

i will also probably be putting out a physical copy of B-SIDE U 2016, both volumes across two discs. sound cool?

i'll probably be placing the orders for these some time in january, which is when preorders for that awesome bandetto vinyl will also go up.

PS: this will mark the end of the LF catalog numbering system and mark the beginning of the HL system! i'm going to try to keep things matched up nicely in terms of using the border on all CD releases, amongst other things that will just look awesome when they're all together! cassettes will move over to the HL numbers as well. i figure it's about time for that.
