gave myself 3 hours to fill the need for some Klippa as requested in the previous post regarding what you'd like to see for the Patreon Exclusive tier. super happy with this tune's atmosphere! every instrument stab, chord, hit, etc, is sampled from old French and Italian sound library records that were sold to media production companies in the 70s and 80s.

i have also attached some stems/loops/resources for this track as a ZIP file! have fun with them!

Some highlights for me: 1. I really like the use of stereo play throughout the song, esp. in the opening (0:06+), the on-beat switch between channels is really interesting, imo. (Which winds up contrasting really nicely when the upper version of it at 2:17, which is modulated back and forth every two beats.) 2. The ambiance throught the track is just great. The fades and echoes are just the right mix of cool tonalities to contrast against the otherwise really warm feel. 3. That snare/bass drum lead-in; especially at 3:33. It's eq'd perfectly to follow that silence and lead back into the original theme. It almost sounds like somebody banging on the door to a room full of empty library stacks. I didn't even notice it was the same kick used everywhere else in the song at first; there's lots of variety to it. 4. The cornet line from 2:44: it's so mellow! It took me a few listens to figure out what distinguished it from the rest of the track: everything else is locked right into time (even the echoey sections, e.g. 3:18-3:30) but the cornet line has very clear bends/flubs, esp. on the held notes, which change the attack and release, adding a whole whack of character. Tbh, it threw me off a bit on my first listen through, but the more I hear it the more I like it. (Though it'd be neat to hear the track with a crisp -- maybe a bit dirty -- synth trumpet playing that line...) Thanks for doing all that stuff you do ^^
