studio rebuild (Patreon)

hey all - it's been an interesting week as i've been in and out of a few lab test and specialist appointments regarding my health, but i'm feeling positive about where things are going. we finally have some potential leads to try treatment for, which is a relief. and beyond that, we have other avenues we can pursue. in the interim i've been given a treatment that has allowed me to move my joints and sweat without excruciating burning and i'm kind of over the moon about that. if you can believe it, i thought the cream was somehow dissolving my eyelids, but the matter of the fact is that my eyes were so swollen for so long that i got used to having my eyes mostly closed most of the time. wow.
anyways, i've been redoing the "studio" room to get the year started. it's been an extensive (and expensive, for once) redo with new desks, the first rack i've ever built, and so far one patchbay (just waiting on my midi patchbay to get in). this has been such a gradual process over time so this feels like a big leap. obviously it's still hardly a "studio" - it's not treated for sound, the power is poor, etc, but i never imagined getting to that point and likely never will! as it stands, i'm happy with my modest bedroom studio and mostly looking to put something together that works quickly (and is mostly completely disconnected from my desktop aside from audio input).
more stuff soon!
