hyi vinyl cover preview (Patreon)

the art was finished today, so here it is! once the 2YR records start arriving with folks, this will be up for pre-order (probably next month!)

i've also attached a work in progress file so you can check out how the art got to this point. first i gave AQ a prompt - he was already familiar with the music well enough, but "pained/euphoric/bizarro" were the keywords i gave him on top of that. i told him i'd be doing something to the sketch (to the right of it in the attached "WIP.png" file) but he didn't know what it was gonna be. once i got him the messed up sketch i gave him an inking prompt: "everything you see here is (potentially, questionably) alive and part of one creature, a shared consciousness that all of history has imprinted on" - he delivered!

this was a blast to work on and i can't wait to get it printed.
