In this post, I will give more information about Dr. Sunrosa.

Dr. Sunrosa works at Sunrosa Care Center and cares for the shrimpules and other creatures that live there.

The two animated shorts can be viewed here.

Dr. Sunrosa started as a Mii I had created on Miitomo. Her name originally was ⭐⭐⭐ and looked like this.

While my other Miis had an established name and character in mind,  ⭐⭐⭐ did not. She changed clothes and hair frequently.

Eventually after changing her design every few months her last iteration looked like this. At this point her name was IBI.

The clothing and items I chose for her to wear were not by plan or purpose, just for fun. I liked the idea of a weird half-angel goat scientist wearing sneakers.

Her voice was mellow and monotone, which kinda sounds like my own.

I really enjoyed her look, so I tried drawing her a few times with these results. She was named Dr. Sunrosa after the name Sunrosa Care Center.

Latex gloves were not something that the Mii had. From reference 2 I had started thinking about her story.

The next drawing came a few days later...

"they let me hold one today"

The thing in her arms (not yet named shrimpule) was there. Sometimes I also forget to draw her wing.

I was thinking about that one image of the giant isopods eating doritos (the ones in this image are dead).

I love weird and useless pets. Not that I believe every pet should have a use anyway. I dislike the concept of having a pet. I'm too poor to afford taking care of one.

What kind of pet would warrant the need for latex gloves anyway? Why was she only allowed then to hold a shrimpule? Who was 'they'?

From this point, I started to think about her environment and the friends she would take care of.

In next week's post I will talk about the first Sunrosa Care Center short and what the process behind its creation was like.

Thanks for reading!
