Succubus WiP #3 (Patreon)

Oh no, a boi. All male MCs seem to look the same, but trying to avoid those while having someone who doesn't look like a wet blanket nor someone you wouldn't like the girls to hang out with is a tricky balance. Half the cast are wearing glasses at this rate though it must be said. 

This'll be the main trio, still working out side characters. You could technically add Kaede and Shizuka to this, just in some mix of the uniforms you see here. I've also been trying to definitively come up with some names, some aspects of the setting, some things that can happen, and some of the personalities - which leads me to:

I wanted to talk about archetypes. Male manga romcom archetypes seem to be either overly timid, or an edgy dick who mellows out eventually, and I really wanted to avoid both and have someone who will feel normal. It's part of the reason why I said last update that I wanted him and the tomboy to share a brain cell, it helps me write a tomboy who isn't too stereotypically genki and dumb as a brick, and it helps me write a guy who isn't terrified of girls talking to him. It just helps me avoid stereotypes entirely. I have a feel for almost everyone, but the succubus herself stil kinda eludes me, or rather I don't know her inside-out yet. I don't want the demure sheepish wilting archetype, so I'm having to introduce an edge somehow, but without making her an ice queen which'd make her unattractive. She might need to be able to defend herself, she might need a bit of coolness, or like a Komi-san that can actually talk shit back?

I'd ask for help with names and designs but the proverbial ink is still wet on some of those so I'll let them sit a bit.
