This whole idea emerged from me playing with those Japanese novel/manga with verbose premise-based titles, and came up with "The New School Transfer is a Half-Succubus!" At that point, the Demi-chan wa Kataritai (Interviews With Monster Girls) manga had concluded and its Valentine's Day postscript had released, which focused on the protagonist and the succubus teacher, who I always found quite fun and had an interesting dynamic that perhaps wasn't as massively or hornily focused upon than could have been.

As I've been piecing things together in my head, and going back and forth on whether the character should be a literal paranormal succubus (should other supernatural elements exist? nah?), I've been trying to design the character. Rather than draw an overtly sexy character, I think I can get away with drawing any design and so long as I suggest she's attractive, the audience will accept her as such. I believe the character is trying to hide or downplay any attractiveness (messy black hair, glasses, etc) but somewhat failing to do so. Also black nail polish because.

The current idea is that, paranormal or not, she has always caused those around her to feel heightened attraction, which throughout her school years has led to elementary school crushes (the annoying yanking your hair kind), and isolation and jealousy from other girls in her teens. In this story, she's able to make some friends and actually be able to hang out with a guy and girl who accept her for who she is - with hijinks coming from them trying to genuinely support her while balancing the inevitable succubus urges.

I actually want to avoid any intense drama or uncomfortable scenarios, and have a goofy world and characters for me to experiment in. Like an unfocused slice of life.

This is still a work in progress and adjustments are always happening, in addition to the rest of the cast and any side characters. And uniform design: "short sleeves or rolled up sleeves" has been a thorn in my side for weeks.

Cute? Hot? Awful?

Cute idea! Based on what you wrote, I'm imagining her with a lot of nervous expressions that could easily be (mis?)interpreted as H...

It's a tricky balance between depicting her as passively sexy but also acknowledging her being jaded and deliberately withdrawn, despite also being lonely and wanting those connections.
