Special Announcement (Patreon)

So I've never really made an official announcement to you all and there were a few reasons for that. While I created TBATE as a fun little side hobby, but these days it has become so much more than that. It takes up a significant amount of time and resources in my life that it just wouldn't be sustainable if I don't make my novel completely free.

Like many other creators, I have a patreon and receive donations for which I am eternally grateful for. Really, to be able to say that my writing is worth the hard-earned money of my readers is something I am extremely proud of.

As some of my older readers might know, I have the tendency to go back and re-edit the old chapters. I'm constantly trying to improve TBATE to the point where I've hired a professional editor.

Anyway. I've shared my novel on a mobile platform and website called Tapas. I don't know how many of you know what this site is but it's a comic and web serial publishing site as well as a self-hosting platform. TBATE is under their premium novels where you do have to pay to read.

Now, I know some of you might show disapproval at this decision of mine, but allow me to reason with you. The "coins" needed to buy the chapters on Tapas cost roughly the same amount as if you would buy the whole novel from amazon. Also, it is currently the most edited version of my novel (more so than Amazon for now) and also, there a lot of giveaway for coins to unlock my episodes for free as well as the choice to accumulate coins by watching ads.

Anyway, right now, Tapas is behind of my novel (it just now started on volume 5) but with its release rate, it will soon catch up to my website. I will keep my website.

There will always be a way to access my novel for free. I plan to use Tapas (just like my patreon) to give my readers options to either pay (like 15 cents) or watch ads to unlock a chapter to get ahead. I will still keep my Patreon and it will have access to the most recent chapter (as it has been for the past year) so not much has changed for you beside the soon-coming option to be able to read a chapter ahead without "devoting" your resources to access my patreon for a whole month.

Let me now get to the special announcement. TBATE has been doing extremely well on their platform (Rank 3 out of all the novels on there) so after many weeks of deliberation, I finally signed their contract after negotiating for another few weeks.

This means that there will be a webcomic adaptation of TBATE coming soon done by a professional artist. I'm working on the script myself with a few editors to make sure it's accurate and true to the novel as well. So please, I hope you'll be excited and give it your love when it comes out!
