My friends, I’ve done something unusual. Instead of highlighting tiny details with a lighter color and then proceeding to the chipping stage, I started painting details in their respective colors, such as rubber components, lights, periscopes, etc.

The reason? I’m at a loss with chipping! These vehicles just don’t get chipped! I looked really hard at photos and the most I could find are tiny scratches along some edges. Also, the material of the vehicle is confusing. It could be highly polished steel in these chips, or more likely some alloy.

So my plan is to paint all the details and see how the overall color palette looks, and then, if needed, add a handful of chips in a few places.

I’m leaving in a few minutes (it’s a bit of a hectic weekend), so I’ll get back to your messages later, but ASAP 😊
