My friends, I gotta choose my "quick, simple projects" more wisely from now on! Now I'm just wondering how much of this is gonna get covered in snow :D 

I started with the chimney, and this was done the usual way - filling the mortar lines with Bergswerk acrylic putty and adding the weathering effects with acrylics. The rubble on the chimney as well as the ground was also painted with diluted Vallejo paints. The groundwork received the same earth washes as the lower hull on the tank - Turned Earth and Winter Streaking Grime. 

It was surprising to see the plastic Tamiya stowage come to life with paints. The sandbag and the backpack have rather soft details, all due to the limitations of injection molding technology, but when you base coat them with black brown paint and work your way from there, you can make those few details stand out pretty nicely.

Well, needless to say, I haven't slept much over these past several days and it looks like another night shift today, so wish me luck!
