Figure time! (Patreon)

My friends, after another busy weekend I managed to do some progress and steer the diorama more towards the finish line. Last night I painted the concrete light pole and glued it to the ground. Today was about figures...
Well, these are originally SS Tank Mechanics from Panzer Art, but I figured they can be presented in a more civilian look just by painting them differently. I started with the usual black primer, but the highlights were sprayed with deck tan instead of white.
The painted fellow's trousers were glazed with Prussian Blue and highlighted with some light blue. Shadows were, as usual, added with very diluted Black Brown. The shirt is Ash Grey from AK highlighted with Deck Tan, and once again, shadowed with Black Brown. Skin tones and details were the usual recipe as on all my other figures...
The second gentleman is more intimidating because of his exposed upper torso. I might try a different approach there because I haven't painted such a large skin surface before... and I guess we'll see how it goes tomorrow!
Also, I decided to paint the figures at this point because they are definitely going to be a part of the diorama. Once I have those done, I can start adding and painting various details to make the yard more lived in. In a setting like this, the amount of clutter you can add is pretty much endless, and this way I'll easily know when to stop - when there's no more time before Friday! :D
In other news, the bathroom is almost finished, tomorrow is the final day!
