My friends, I finished the weathering yesterday, and the model is ready to be set in a cold, muddy vignette.

Unfortunately, I was pressed by time towards the end. Had a word with the contractors this week, and to keep it short, I'll have to start preparing the house for their arrival, and that means setting up a few rooms in a different, less temporary layout than it is now. The most important room is, of course, the filming studio, so I was painting the model and preparing the room at the same time. Today I'm editing the video for tomorrow and also doing some finishing touches on the walls. The floor will be next during the weekend and then I can finally move my workbench there.

As for the model, I kept the weathering simple - AK muddy paste on the lower hull, tracks, and wheels, then some pre-dusting with very diluted Buff from Tamiya (including the upper hull), and tinkering with enamels. Rainmarks Effects for the dry tones, and Earth from Ammo for the darker mud. This worked like a dream on the winter camo, so I used it partially as another form of post-shading. Once the running gear was assembled I added a few darker stains with Winter Streaking Grime, added the antenna from 0.2mm wire, brushed some smoke residue on the exhaust with black pigment, and it was done!

Although the finish is not extremely involved and detailed, I'm very happy with the result! So much so I'd like to keep the model! But hey, once the scenic base is finished, I think it'll be a very nice surprise for my friend who started this model.

Also, I'll show you photos of the studio once it's finished!
