My friends, switching the Eduard PE set for Aber was a good choice. It's not just more detailed, but accurate - some details, such as the parts on the inside of the hatches, were completely made up by Eduard. On the other hand, Aber is just not for me... it's for the cool kids when it comes to detailing! Voyager, with their "simplified" approach (compared to Aber) is more user friendly for me. But hey, if you have time and patience, Aber is the dog's bollocks!

Also, there was no soldering on this model... everything is held together with superglue. Now I just need to add some stowage and figures... that's gonna be tricky because IS-2 has the smallest hatches in the world! Okay, I've got a sitting tanker figure from Alpine that was specifically designed for this tank, but fitting someone into the commander's hatch is gonna be tricky!!!

And finally, I shortened the tracks by 1 link because they were way too loose. They'll "grow" with weathering anyway, so the sag is gonna be more or less spot-on when the model is finished.
