My friends, today was quite electrifying. I hung the Christmas lights on trees outside and added some electricity for the diorama 😁

I actually used the Miniart telegraph pole set, but only the bare bones basic stuff, in fact, only 3 parts 😁 It was quicker than building everything from scratch. The set is otherwise pretty horrible and unusable, it's one of their older releases.

Of course, I made some sick-ass 3D models for this occasion: porcelain insulators and a street lamp. Insulators have a hole that allows to thread the wire right through them. I know, not realistic, but in my opinion the easiest way to get straight, smooth lines on the electric cables. Besides, I'll do some extra detailing and cheating on those once everything is painted :) Also, more wires will be added later.

As always, plenty of references were used for this small model, some of which I snapped outside (I have one reference right behind my window, lol) and others were found on the internet.

Keep in mind that everything is dry-fitted, so it's supposed to be all over the place! 😁

Just wanted to drop you this update. I'll post the 3D models and everything tomorrow because I'm totally exhausted, so I'll go play some Borderlands and then call it a night :)

Fantastic work! Wow! Here's my big question: How are you organizing the oils?? They are floating! :)
