My friends, we've got a new record! 😁 Three-tone camouflage and markings done in 3 days? Damn!

But it wasn't all smooth sailing. First of all, I don't know if it was my bad luck or something, but those damned AK RC weren't as great as I thought. When I started lightening the green using dark yellow, it was turning into a very desaturated, almost greyish tone. The brown, on the other hand, was getting a slight purple tint. I would probably have to mix them a little more and add standard yellow into the green and a little bit of red into the brown, but I decided to take the easier route and applied the final highlights using my old paint mixes from the Jagdtiger. I didn't store them for later use for no reason!

So that's how the subtle post-shading went. Next I wanted to spray the markings using Solidscale stencils, but the jagged Zimmerit surface was just too much for them. They wouldn't adhere! So it was back to decals from the kit, again. These wouldn't conform to the surface either so after letting them set for a while I took a fresh blade and sliced them up into squares! 😁 That did the trick. And of course, it was all sealed with a couple of coats of my favorite VMS satin varnish.

Next is probably going to be the oxide primer and I'll most likely add the mounting attachments for the wooden jack block on the engine deck. Yeah, supergluing stuff to a painted model is no good, but I want the model to be more accurate.

But first, it's time to wrap this spraying session into a videooo!

super speedy NS, i always love it when you add the oxide primer because it really pops next to the military colours so I'm excited for that!

Interestingly it might be the first serious use of oxide primer? The only one I can remember was the JT with its missing skirts. The Tiger was an odd one with the Pz Grey under the Zimmerit 😁
