My friends, I've got the "construction" finished and I already managed to lay down the basic tones with an airbrush!

The grass is a mixture of 3 different lengths all applied with the static applicator except the longest grass, which is around 1 cm and thus very hard to apply with the magical sprinkler. So I simply grabbed it with tweezers, dipped into PVA glue and stuck it into the ground. I also added a dead tree branch from a dried up root, some PE plants and sea foam twigs plus a bunch of "garbage" - MG34 ammo cans to set the "scene" so to say, a barrel from Panzerart, some wooden crates (mixture of 3D print and Miniart) and a bucket.

Everything was sprayed with Mahogany primer as usual. I had to use pieces of paper to mask the building, spraying a piece of green or brown on it would be very... unpleasant to say the least ๐Ÿ˜

Grass is painted with German yellow from Tamiya and then with a random uneven layer of bright green mixed from NATO Green and Yellow Green. Ground was first painted with Buff and then with a mixture of Flat Earth, German Grey and Black. This should provide a solid base coat for enamel mud effects. I didn't want to leave it too bright and dry because that usually means more work with enamels, so I hope this will work!

Junk was painted with the hairspray technique, first I sprayed German Grey over the drum and bucket and then chipped them with Sky and Flat White. Crates were painted with Deck Tan and one of them chipped with Field Grey.

Now it's time to paint small details with a paintbrush - pavement stones, rocks, tree trunk, leaves, etc etc., and then enamel earth washes!
