My friends, it's been a couple of busy days but I made sure to put some work into this model. As it stands right now, it's ready for some textured mud on the lower parts and a round of pre-dusting over hairspray. Then it'll be all ready for a pinwash and rust effects. So basically, I have all the chipping and detail painting done.

Now my idea with this model is to get the chipping and details out of the way before the weathering even begins. I've gotten this idea while I was painting the BMR-3 and thought it would be more efficient. Well, I'm not so sure about that anymore, but at least we'll see if it's gonna look better! If it doesn't, then the approach I took on the BMR is just better.

So far I haven't touched the model with enamels or oil paints, everything is just acrylics. I'm keeping the stowage unpainted for the time being because I think the pre-dusting might be too strong for all the tarps and tent rolls (it might just collect in the crevices and ruin all the lights and shadows). Oh and one thing that really sucks about Panzer Grey tanks? You can meticulously base-coat all the tools and other metal components, but it won't show because it's just different grey tones! But of course that will change once they receive some subtle rust washes.

This is a very weird approach, I won't lie, but I'm curious to see where it will go, and what's gonna be the moment when everything clicks together. I think it'll be after the pinwash, but I guess we'll see soon 😁
