Basic modelling tools on a budget!

Holy crap, this video was a nightmare to film!!! I spent about 2 hours setting lights, mic and camera and still couldn't get a clear image. I was so frustrated... I gave up and kicked everything into the corner. After taking a smoke break and watching some tutorials on Youtube, I set it up again and suddenly boom, the footage came out better than I expected! This video has a proper Night Shift feel to it 😁 I'm tempted to buy a couple of RGB LED strips and install them behind the model boxes for that extra strip club look 😂

I'm also very pleased with the structure of this video. I feel like every topic was covered in good enough detail, probably because the amount of tools was limited to the most basic stuff.

Needless to say, I started filming at 8 in the evening, started editing at 9, video was cut before 11, then I filmed the tool close-ups, added them in, tinkered with sound effects, added price tags and at 1 past midnight I was like damn, that turned out so good! Next level compared to the previous video if I do say so myself.

To be fair, I didn't enjoy filming these types of videos, but after this one, I'm stoked to make more!

nicely done!! a soft orange or blue/teal (indirect light) on the back will look awesome for this type of video! 👌🏻 Those round blades you don't use (I think #21 or #22) they work absolutely great for removing parts from photoetch sprues, the position/angle that they force you to use it's great for applying some force and chop without to much effort. give it a try. I even have a handle dedicated for this purpose only. I also use them to chop the super hard wire that is included in the fruilmodel tracks without issues, using a jig of course. hey, speaking of fruilmodel, I heard they are stopping production?? 😱

Never thought of that! I hope I didn't throw all of my unused blade handles away, because that sounds very reasonable. And Friulmodel, whaaaaaat???
