Hey mates, so with the chipping video done I once again got some bench time tonight. I managed to fix all the poor fitting track links with Textured Earth from Wilder, which, obviously, also provided some overall muddy texture. This turned out even better than I anticipated, but obviously, this is just a foundation for the actual mud effects which I'm gonna start working on tomorrow. 

I actually wanted to add tons of static grass into the mud according to one reference photo, but it would've been way tricky on this model, so I guess I'll leave that to some 1/35th tank with metal workable tracks.

Nice! I think what really impresses me is the model looks larger... if you'd have said "this is 1/35th scale" I'd have believed it. Very nice work.

Thanks Jon! That's the "curse" of small scale models - you can paint it the best you can, but some of those simplified or rough details will give it away. If you're not a mage like Alex Clark or Sergey Golikov who can build 72 kits to look like superdetailed 35th ones, then your only bet is to "hide" those drawbacks with weathering, as I often try :D
