🎉 Happy New Year 2024 (Patreon)

Just over an hour until midnight here for me, so I figured I’d post my little personal new years drawing now. 2023 was a mixed bag for me, but overall I can say I’m really proud of myself. Back in January, making it to December felt literally impossible, so I’m glad I’m here to celebrate the new year and I’m glad I’m happy.  I have a feeling 2024 will be a good one.

I also threw in my 2023 art summary, I do one every year and it’s fun to share! I’m pleasantly surprised looking at the complete summary. I feel like I didn’t draw as much this year, I’ve mostly taken time to focus on myself, re pivoting my life and my goals, with the plan to shift career I really pumped the breaks on work. I remember thinking to myself that my art summary wouldn’t be very good this year because of all these factors, but looking at it I’m super happy with the work I have mad this year. I’m in a tricky situation with art right now, I’m horribly burnt out and doing my usual work related stuff feels mind numbing, so the pieces I’ve drawn that have been genuinely passion filled feel even more special to me. Really pushed myself out of my comfort zone with art this year, learning to draw humans, trying thinner linework here and there, it’s all been super beneficial. I’m rambling now so I’ll wrap it up, but I do wanna say thank you all for your support in 2023 of me and my work, I know I haven’t been the best this past year in terms of content and what not, but I’m ever so grateful for the love and community we’ve built here. I wouldn’t be anywhere without you all and for that I’m eternally in your debt 🤍 happy new year everyone!! 🎉
