We’re having a fun day out in the amusement park when I notice you’re getting a little overstimulated and cranky. I guide you by the hand to the car where we take a little break together.

As someone familiar with the worlds experienced by those on the Autism spectrum, this sounds so familiar to many of my experiences with those boys and girls. At once it's heartwarming when they receive that comfort and care they need, but it's also heartbreaking because you can't begin to imagine how the child, teen, or young adult is feeling.

Not I said The Guy

This meant a great deal to me. It was so kind and it made me feel good that someone is there to deal with me when I can't deal with myself. This is something that all babies need from time to time. To feel safe and know that nothing is bad or wrong. You just need to be protected and cared for. Lo, you very rarely spank. You never humiliate. You never laugh at a cruel situation. And while you MAY punish when needed, your audios are full of the kind of care that so many of us have always needed. Thank You Lo for everything that you do. And everything that you don't do.
