On May 20, 2022, I started this journey, and today it comes to an end. We have officially finished Gintama. Thank you to everyone who joined me on this fantastic journey and I am so happy I could experience this with all of you. I do have a couple of surprise videos planned for Gintama that I want to take my time working on, but it’s a little too early to reveal what all they are. I will say that one of them will be a full in-depth review of the series as a whole. Though this chapter might be over, there are plenty more stories ahead that deserve to be explored, and I hope to see you there!

I haven't watched the video yet, but any chance that you'll check out the live action movies? I have only seen the first live action, but it was surprisingly good!

Honestly my hardest series/anime to let go of, having watched so many over the years, Gintama is easily my favorite. It was great seeing it again and I always love when someone experiences Gintama for themselves and goes from just enjoying the ride to being fully invested. And it’s funny to see that I still get painfully nostalgic watching the ending song for the movie, all the Easter eggs to openings and endings. Gets me teary eyed when the whole cast runs together on screen. Still a huge loss that Zenzo's VA passed before The Final.

Can't belive it is over. It is going to be difficult to replace.

2023-08-20 11:08:33 Hey Ezret, just wanted to say thanks for completing this series! I was watching your Gintama reactions on YT before I realized you have a Patreon and subsequently came here for a few months on and off just to watch your reactions. I'm a long-time fan of Gintama, and I was introduced to this series by my brother who had been purchasing the comics ever since it began serializing around 20 years ago. At first I had to drop the first two episodes because comedy was never really my shtick, but I came back after 2 years and that's when I really started to appreciate the show for what it is. I had similar emotions you felt before you started the movie: I didn't want to watch it, because it would mean the entire series was going to end for real (even though I had already finished the manga haha). But after I forced myself to do so, I was glad I did! It was such a satisfying ending and all the references to the anime's different endings were so cute. But it was still a bittersweet moment for me, because it left such a big hole in me and I know I will never come across another series that will affect/influence me this much ever again. Anyway, I apologize for the long-ass comment! I just really appreciate all the work you've done for this series (and everything else to be honest). I've never seen a reactor as well-organized as you are, and you can be sure I'll be around to support you whenever you watch something I'm interested in (: I'm currently catching up on your Kuroko reactions, and really loving them so far! Keep up the good work! <3

Hey, Rainicity! No need to apologize! It's always awesome hearing how people got into the series and how they ultimately felt once they completed it. But I absolutely agree with your sentiment. The relief I felt once I finally sat down and completed it was indescribable. Also, thank you for the kind words, and I'm glad you're enjoying the content! I appreciate your support and I hope to see you around!

Your comments at the start were so relatable. I can't help but teared up too when you did. I can't believe it's over. Thank you so much for all your great reactions and efforts, Ezret. I'm so happy that I stumbled upon your channel on YouTube. Can't thank you enough. Gintama for sure will be that one show where even if there are other great shows, it still remains among your top shows. The characters especially are impossible not to love. Again, it's been a worthwhile experience of watching your reactions to Gintama. Thank you so much, Ezret.✨
