We got many things in this arc that makes it one of the best, possibly the best in Gintama imo. -Utsuros first brief backstory -The reveal of Altana -A fairly good battle showing off Sakamoto more -The beginning change/development of Nobunobu as a character -Zura fights like a beast for the first time -Takasugi's new determination -The 4 joui reassembling to fight together -Kagura's full backstory and Kamui's motives - Kamui vs Umibozu -Utusuro vs Umibozu (The two strongest in the universe battle) -Kagura/Yorozuya vs Kamui -Kagura and Kamui's resolve -Takasugi vs Oboro -Finally get to see Oboro's motives and understand him more -Utsuros full backstory, revealing how complex of a character he is -The setup for the final arc of the show (Utsuro instigating a universal war) There is so much this arc showed off and it felt like you got everything in terms of action and story. The only thing that was sadly missing was the Shinsengumi but it had to be that way considering how the previous arc ended.

I really admire the throughline from the Utsuro and Umibozu fight to the end of the fight with Kamui and Yorozuya. The concepts introduced in the fight with Utsuro and Umibozu smoothly flows into the backstory of Kagura's family and the source of the motivations for each surviving family member. And then it's ended with a very satisfying (to watch) showdown between Yorozuya and Kamui.
