2023 - Year in Review (Patreon)

Heya guys o/

First off, I really want to thank you all for the support throughout this year and the insane amount of trouble I've had to deal with, this year has definitely been something. On a personal level, it has basically been hell of me in and out of the hospital quite often between infections and surgery, but thankfully I'm back on track now and feel much better. Patreon wise, while it definitely has taken a hit due to all these issues, I did try my best to deliver as much as I could to make sure you guys were getting what you deserved.

We started off the year with a single poll per month for a 2-3 illustration set for the winner, this change having come into effect late last year. I enjoyed working on something different like that but in the long run, I moved back to having multiple polls for single illustrations, now up to 3 polls a month between the 2 for all patrons and 1 exclusive one for Cappuccino members. It was a good change as it has allowed more opportunities for different content to shine, instead of relying on a single set that may or may not be liked by most of you guys, this way there usually is at least something during the month that you might enjoy!  

We also started with hte release of with the release of Project Ilium, a small roguelike game inspired by Vampire Survivor. It was a fun experiment to get a game out in a very small time frame, and thankfully it released just before all the medical issues I had. Releasing this game also helped me realise my course with Tactics Café wasn't the best and led me to cancelling Tactics Café. Now I've started working on small NSFW games instead, with Tina's Magic Book being the first of many! I want to release smaller projects like Project Ilium but with a NSFW theme more often, as game development has always been my goal and dream. And thankfully, I was able to get over this mentality I had that NSFW games cannot be "legit" games but rather that they are just the same as regular games with just different theming. Tina's Magic Book is an extremely simple puzzle game but I thought it'd be a great idea to start with a pseudo sequel/remake of my only other NSFW game, Tina's Magic Shop. I have plans on what to make next but I will keep them on the hush shush until the time comes, as I will be focusing on TMB to make sure I release it by February!

One other big thing that happened this year was the release of the final NSFW comic, TC: Next Door Milf. After 5 NSFW comic releases, I was happy with what I had made and how I had improved, and with Tactics Café no longer in development, I no longer felt the need to release NSFW comics alongside a SFW game as I have shifted back into NSFW game development. I am not going to completely write off the idea of coming back to NSFW Comics, but if I ever do make a new one, it won't be a weekly page sort of deal but rather something that is released whenever I feel I want to make one.

Art-wise, I feel I've improved a lot throughout the year, I've become faster and at the same time have been refining my style with each new illustration. There are still many things I wish to learn and improve upon, but I at least feel content for having improved, even if I wish to do more.
