Hey folks! I owe you an update. Here's what's going on with me, and what's in the works right now.

I'm in the middle of writing the last video of the year. It's about TERFs (a topic I'm sure nobody is sick of yet) and a slogan they're using a lot lately: "Sex, not gender".  TERFs pride themselves in their connection to "biological sex", and claim their sex-based analysis keeps them grounded in reality. I think this is nonsense (hold for shock) and I want to get a handle on it. This video will be out in the 2nd or 3rd week of December.

The first video of 2022 will be something pretty new. A collection of short essays about things that ground me, little things that make me glad I'm around. Books, places, songs. Its working title is "Things to Hold Close". I'm hoping to record original music for this one, and the visuals are pretty elaborate, so it's hard to guess how long this one will take. I'm thinking it'll be out in February.

My schedule for 2022 is filling up quickly! Phew. For a second there, I was scared I'd run out of ideas. I have a couple 3-part miniseries I'd like to make next year, including one about true crime and trauma porn. Depending how much I wind up having to say, this might be my flagship project for next year.

Outside of the channel, I've got a few cool projects in the works! I directed a music video that'll be out in a few months. I also worked on a short film that'll be out whenever festivals happen (I don't know these things). I'm excited to share these with you!

There are some factors that complicate my timeline a bit; namely, it's winter, and seasonal depression is kicking my ass. But I'm doing my best to power through. I really want to get this stuff into the world.

Thank you, as always, for your support. <3

Lily this all sounds very cool! I’m excited that you’re going to be balancing essays about terrible things like TERFs and trauma porn with things that bring you joy - the short video essays about things that ground you sound so great!

Thank you! :) Trying to strike a balance there. I really like making the heavy stuff but it’d be easy to burn out on it.
