Hey crew! What are your go to games for staying awake? I am a Dad of two girls that works full time and just hit my 30s. That being said, I get rather sleepy in the evenings when my wife and I want to game. It’s to the point now I have to pick what game I play based on its ability to keep me awake. What are your go-to games for keeping the Sandman at bay?

Hey all! I've noticed some of the Minnmax crew interacting with former Cracked.com staff on Twitter sometimes, and that's super neat! I've been a huge fan of the Cracked.com dispora and follow a lot of their new ventures post Cracked. Bridging the two worlds, I really enjoy the 1upsmanship by Michael Swain and Adam Ganser and like their art lense approach to games. Sooo, my question is, what's your favorite Cracked content you follow? Thanks!

Hey Benn and Friennds, What's some real world knowledge you have that breaks your immersion in video games? For instance if two train cars become decoupled while moving the train would stop due to loss in brake continuity throughout the consist. However, games and movies love to use disconnecting trains willy nilly for story purposes.

Hey Guys! I asked a question last week, and you all didn’t answer it on the show (which is fine, of course!) My question this week is what is the etiquette for asking questions? If a question doesn’t get answered one week, is it cool to ask the same question again another week? Or should your question not getting answered be an indication that it wasn’t that good/interesting a question in the first place? Thanks!

Demos were mentioned as a topic for this week, and I want to ask the panel: How many of you ever had a disc, or set of discs, full of ShareWare games? I remember having one with Epic Pinball, and there was a bullet he'll game called Tyrian, and there was a game called Jill of the Jungle, and just.... so many games to try and never buy a real why. WAIT!! Y'all need to do Cream of the Steam (Congrats on official name change btw) but with a 90's Shareware disc!

Hi gang How much would gamepass have to cost for it to not be the best value in gaming for you? A couple years ago I might have said $25 a month or even higher, but with ps plus having a relatively similar library, I'm not sure anymore

I just finished a weekend at a film festival, and wanted to know if any of you had taken part in any before? Any memorable experiences, or favorite films you seen at a film festival?

Regarding demos - 1. You could play the entirety of Crash Bash from inside the demo by entering a cheat code on both versions of the demo, 2. Yakuza 6 demo was accidentally the whole game I believe? 3. DIno Crisis 2 had a special 45 minute demo, but using a gameshark you could freeze the timer to play the whole game my favorite demos: MGS2, Skate, UT2k4, Dark Messiah, Halo. I also have a soft spot for Terminator 3: war of the machines as it was the full game that you could play for 2 hours and kept track of your time via registry settings.

Hi everyone. I have noticed over the course of decades playing games that after finishing almost any game, I need to take a sharp left turn in terms of genre/style for the next game I play. After a Resident Evil, I need a Pikmin. It helps me feel refreshed and continually excited about playing games. The first game I finished after The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number. There is no one type of game I would call a "palette cleanser" for me, but old school side-scrollers like Mario, Mega Man, and Castlevania seem to be the only exceptions, since I can often play a few back-to-back. Everything else needs to be adjacent to something radically different. Are any of you like this or does playing one type of game inspire you to immediately play more like it? (Or has being in the industry trained you to mentally reset for whatever is coming out that week out of necessity?)

Hey gang! Question for Kyle and Jeff. As the father of a two year old who struggles to find time and energy to game, what is some of the best advice you have for a dad who still wants to game?

Anonymous

I also have a 2 year old so I can offer my advice. My time to game during the week is pretty much non-existent, maybe an hour total. I've had to adjust to late night game sessions on the weekends, think 10pm to 2am Friday and Saturday. My wonderful wife usually lets me sleep in a little the following morning so I don't have to wake up at 7 with my son. Try finding a time your significant other can take the lead and give you time alone, and then return the favor for them when they also need time to themselves.

Hey pals, I recently finished up my replay of Minish Cap after the release of the GBA collection on the Nintendo Switch online service. Have you replayed any classic games recently and did that replay cause your thoughts on the game to change?

I finally started Atomic Heart, and, if anything, Kyle and Janet underplayed just how awful the protagonist's dialogue is. I almost quit withing the first hour, as I wasn't sure I could listen to him for 8-10 more hours. Is there a game you have quit or wanted to quit solely because the protagonist was so annoying? Conversely, can you think of a terrible game saved by the likeability of the protagonist?

P. S. The bizarrely sexualized vending machine was also a low point of the game that isn't highlighted in enough reviews.
