Hello Ben Jacob Leo and Sarah. Whats the most embarrassed you’ve ever been? And how often do you think about it? Have a great day!

Alright, the Egyptian god Thoth has granted your single wish. You may tweak one single number associated with any video game. What will you change? Will you increase the stats of a weapon you love but isn’t practical? Will you decrease the hit points of that one boss you are banging your head against? Do you change the number of eyes on a game you want the world to know about? Can you save any one game with this wish? Change the outcome of the game awards? Get creative, defy the masses. This is your gift.

Do big budget AAA games really benefit from making a big marketing push on Twitch? Overwatch 2 has been doing frequent Twitch promotions (free skins, weapon charms, etc.). Is the benefit from this stuff statistically significant? They claim they have 35 million players, but Twitch viewership doesn't even hit 100k. Is this money well spent? I understand smaller games benefit from going viral and word of mouth, but do AAA games have anything to gain on Twitch?

Hey minnmaxers, I'm a little confused by the pokemon discourse. Gamefreak finally made the open world game we've been asking for for years. Here's a quick pro/ con list. Pros: Near fully open world Fun traversal mechanics 100 new pokemon GOOD WRITING AND ENGAGING STORY Cool new mechanics and unique lore for the region Cons: Performance is iffy, very rarely broken or game breaking It seems like people are waaay more negative than they have any right to be with how good this game is outside of performance issues. What are your thoughts? Taking this game on its own merits, is it receiving more hate than it deserves?

Janet beat the Outer Wilds DLC over the weekend, and it reminded me how much I love that game. Then I remembered it was ported to current gen consoles this year, so can Outer Wilds be on the two tens this year?

On the second deepest dive Hanson was very mean to himself, he was calling himself, dumb, stupid, deaf. Etc. stop that! You’re a brilliant man. 😇

What's your best preorder story? I got lucky & was able to reserve a PS2 about a year in advance, get my first job & pay it off before launch day. My mom rewarded my efforts by getting me out of school to pick it up on day one.

Hey crew, Xbox just put their Series S (a next gen console) on sale for $250 for Black Friday. Now we all know the rumors for a “Switch 2” say it’ll bring graphical fidelity up to the level of roughly a PS4… a full gen behind a now $250 series S. What do you think Nintendo can get away with charging for this next console, considering the current Switch is still $300? Has the novelty of portability worn off a little bit? I never see people with a Switch out in public since Covid hit and people stopped going out as much.

After we've got a Digimon, Mario and a Marvel Strategy RPG game this year: What other franchises would you love to get the X-Com treatment as well? Spongebob? Sonic? Dora the Explorer?

What's your retro videogame store strategy? When you go into one, what do you beeline to first? Do you go into browse or do you only go into one when you have something in mind?

Hey MinnMax, today I'm searching an answer for the question that keeps us all awake at night:why don't we have a Splatoon story-driven spin-off yet? And why would it be an RPG?

Take your favorite indie game and blow it up to a $500 million dollar AAA holiday release, then take your favorite AAA blockbuster hit and boil it down to an indie darling made by a small team with a small budget. What does the game gain from the change, and what does it lose? After all of the bells and whistles are stripped away, does the AAA game leave anything left? Are the most important core concepts of the indie game drowned out by the addition of ubsoft towers, celebrity likenesses, and an engrossing narrative told at a fixed walking speed down a corridor?
