Hello motorcycles and helicopters, Missed joke opportunity. Last week when talking about Rollerdrome releasing August 16, Hanson said run don’t walk when he should have said skate don’t run. Anyway, we all remember 2013 was Nintendo’s Year of Luigi, but this year seems like the Year of Three. In 2022 the Switch will see releases for Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Splatoon 3, Bayonetta 3, Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes, and Triangle Strategy. Trilogies are very common in film but a lot of game franchises end after only 2, looking at you Valve. Why do you suppose that is?

One of the best remaining film magazines Little White Lies has an interesting review scale. It's three different scores out of 5: Anticipation, Enjoyment, In Retrospect. So at a glance you can see with a 3,1,1 that they were cautiously optimistic for Jurassic World Dominion, but hated watching it and upon reflection still hate it. Could video games use this scale? What has been your all time favorite game review scale?

Hello MinnMax crew! In recent news we learned that GTAV has sold an astonishing 170M copies and there's still people who haven't played it (that's me!). On the sidelines we also learned that RDR2 sold 45M, while this game is more recent, the gap in popularity is clear, which has me worried some corporate might pressure Rockstar into dropping Red Dead going forward to focus on GTA. How crazy is it that the scope of games is getting so big that massive companies have to handle one game at a time, all hands on deck, to deliver games in a timely manner?

So hear me out… it is just like EVO, the crowd, the noise, the high stakes, the money and glory on the line, all just to say “I’m the best in the world”, okay… ALL THAT IS THE SAME… okay, but check this out… the competitors are not playing a video game, but are actually in a ring themselves, fighting, pretty much just like the game, but no “special moves” or magic which operate beyond the laws of physics and known reality. I think it could be the ultimate progression of virtual sports, “coming to real life” so to speak, with truly “Life Like Graphics and Motion”.

Hey Everyone! Evo was great to watch this year but something has been buggin me. I assumed street fighter 6 was going to release pretty early next year similar how sf5 did. Then, they announce Evo japan is happening march 31st through april 2nd and so far only street fighter 5 has been said to be there. And capcom hasn't said if 2022 was the last year for sf5 at evo, in fact it seemed like the commentators weren't sure either. Basically what im tryna get at is will Street fighter 5 be capcoms main game next year too? Could you see a world where 6 is not at EVO 2023 ? Thanks keep up the good stuff

Question for Kyle: Have you listened to the latest Between the Buried and Me album (Colors II)? I vaguely remember Kyle mentioning he liked the band, and I would love to hear his thoughts.

Suriel two questions, 1) How did your EVO setup workout? 2) S'mores?

with god of war and spiderman PC being playable on steam deck, do you think sony is uncomfortable with this? there's got to be a part of them that feels like they blew it by giving up on handhelds right?
