Can I get a whoop whoop for PSP music? That was my introduction to Coheed and Cambria via the demo UMD. Anyone else have bizzare introductions to other artists or mediums through video games?

Hey CLCs, I just blasted through The Matrix Trilogy and the Animatrix in preparation for the fourth film due in December. It took me right back to high school, diving deep into the universe and the lore, reading the comics, and mostly playing Enter the Matrix. For better or for worse, Enter the Matrix is a big piece of the Matrix Trilogy; with more than an hour of live-action footage written and directed by The Wachowskis, it fills some significant story beats that set up the final film, The Matrix: Revolutions. If you were an obsessive fan, like me, you absorbed everything you could and got a better understanding of the film trilogy as a whole in the process. However, Adult Blake recognizes that a video game shouldn't be more or less required reading to understand a film; that the text should stand on its own. So, I'm wondering: what are the best and worst video game crossovers or tie-ins over the years?

G'day Minnmaxeroos You have been selected by a secret government agency for your expert video game knowledge. The world is under attack by Aliens. We have the ability to pull 5 characters from video games to form an elite team to fight back. Who do you choose and why. Smash bros rules apply. As in the character must originate from a video game. As a bonus question can you please name your group of elite digital hero's.

So…. Are all the games coming out in spring 2022?

Hello MinnMax crew and guests! By nature I'm a very careful gamer. Just completed a major story segment? Better save. Do I sense a difficult fight coming up? Better save. Do I feel like I'm going to be interrupted by something IRL? Better save. This is important because I'm playing Metroid Dread alongside the rest of the community for the Deepest Dive -- and I'm loving it by the way -- and at one point decided to take a break from the critical path to go back to explore some areas and grab some powerups I couldn't previously. When I got back I was met by a boss that was giving me some difficulty that I figured I'd come back to without a second thought only to come back to my game later and realize that I had not saved and thus lost close to an hour of game time. All in all it wasn't a big deal because I had an idea of where to go but it still stung because I didn't do something I normally would. My question, what sort of mistake or sticky situation that you've gotten yourself into -- either in games or IRL -- occurred because you didn't do something that's generally second nature to you?

Now that October is here, do you have a favorite lesser know scary movie you like to recommend to people? Mine is probably Banshee Chapter. It's weird mix of MK Ultra, Lovecraft and Hunter S Thompson. -Bryan

Hey Ben and the CLCs! First of all, I love the show and I'm a long time listener going back to the Game Informer days. I recently decided to support ya'll on Patreon because I couldn't deny myself the opportunity to be apart of the Deepest Dive for Metroid Dread, but also because you guys deserve it, damnit! Keep up the good work! Now onto my question: in Metroid Dread, when Samus is defeated, we get a very cool animation of her suit cracking and exploding followed by a brief look at Samus in her Zero Suit. I've personally always been fascinated by the death animation in 2D Metroid games, but it made me wonder - what other games have cool death sequences and what is your favorite way to die in a game?

The Last of Us series is filming in my city right now and it’s all very exciting for our northern Canadian community. I’m curious if any of the cohorts have had any random or exciting run-ins with famous people outside of the gaming world.

I used Leo's video "Products: Now for Men" in my journalism class for a debate on gender inequality vs. school traditions like the powderpuff football games. Can you people in the biz help me think of other topics for the students to debate or subjects to be covered in journalism? I could look up stuff on Google, but that's boring.
