Hey minnmax crew I was browsing my trophies on PlayStation and realized I average around the 50 to 70% range of completion I usually platinum 2 games a year. My question is what compels you to 100% a game and go the extra mile to do everything? Game mechanics? Art style? Developer?

Hey HanHillGarPod! Every morning I wake up to Vigil from Mass Effect, before that it was the save room music from Resident Evil (I'm a light sleeper). Do you use video game music for your alarm clock, and if so what's your favorite music to wake up to?

Hey there folks, You ever flat out pick the wrong game? When ocarina of time came out, my friends mom brought us to the store to buy each of us a game for Xmas. He picked OOT and I picked.... Glover When I got my Xbox, everyone was buzzing about Halo, and I bought..... Azurik. Turns out, im not good at picking winners, how about you folks?

Hey cohorts! Simple question, Is Jurassic Park a horror movie? Had this discussion with a friend and I was on the side that it’s not. But after listening to his case, I think I can consider it a horror movie. And as an avid horror fan I can honestly say when I saw it in a theater as a kid it scared the ever loving Christ out of me, more so than a lot of “horror” movies. Are there any other movies you’d make a case for being a genre that it’s not considered to be?

Dear MinnMax, does Google hate the things they sell? I usually listen to podcast type things while cleaning or doing other things, so I'm not watching what's happening on the screen. Recently, Google has started their new onslaught of terrible advertisements. This time I think they want you to get something to do with phones. The commercials are a variety of abnoxious people singing Google words without rhyme or melody. This may or may not be a step up from their Stadia ads, which sounded like someone shaking a toddler up and down repeatedly. Can you think of any worse advertisements? Thanks, keep on keepin' on!

Aaaaaand TIME!! I did it. . I just finished the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, and I’ve been playing since the game released back in May (my time is limited OK). Having the trilogy as one seamless and cohesive experience makes all the difference for impactful characters and story, but man what a long game! As good as the experience was, I was ready to be done like 40 hours ago. This brings me to my question about this thing called gaming fatigue. it frustrates me that I found myself rushing through an otherwise beautiful game. As much as I loved Mass Effect, I got to a point where I just wanted to be done with it. Can we talk about this conundrum?? Is this fatigue a result of having limited time in my adult years, or is this seemingly high demand for new video games and content so pervasive now that I feel I need to quickly move from one game to the next?

Hello Cohorts! Since day one listener, first time writer. I like to think I can accomplish anything in video games if I practice or work hard enough, but I have a deep scar of inability that has haunted me my entire gaming life… In FFX you have to dodge 200 lightning bolts in a row on the path to Lulu’s ultimate weapon. I have tried this various times over my life but have never been able to accomplish it, sometimes coming as close as 190 dodges. Has anyone else come across something like this in their gaming experiences? What gaming hurdles have bested you? Bonus points if you have tried multiple times over a long period of time. Great show keep it up!

Hi Cohorts! I think we all know what are some genre defining titles in gaming media: Mario, Metroid/Castlevania, Doom, and Dark Souls; but what are the defining titles in other mediums like movies and literature? Is Sleeping Beauty genre defining for animation, or The Godfather for crime drama? What about the Lord of the Rings defining the rules of Fantasy? Curious to know your all's thoughts!

Is Knockout City still a thing?

Hey Cohorts, What’s something you thought you’d never grow out of? For me it’s anime, when I was in high school I was obsessed with it all and thought I’d never stop loving it. Well some 15 years later and I barely watch any anime.

Whats a weird fact that perplexes you so much that you can't stop thinking about it? I ask because I have not been able to get the knowledge that the Burj Khalifa is not hooked up to a sewer system and there's a line of trucks perpetually assembled in Dubai to deal with that out of my head since it was brought up during a "get a load of this" segment of the show. Its so stuck in my head that I brought it up as an ice breaker during a team meeting at work and it derailed the meeting for at least 15 minutes as everyone else was forced to grapple with this weird knowledge

With the announcement of the next Kirby game being a 3D platformer, existing rumors of a Donkey Kong 3D platformer, and recent releases like Kena and Psychonauts, do you think it's possible that we are seeing a gradual shift back to 3D platformers? Would that be something you'd want? I think a lot of people in their mid twenties like me have more nostalgia for them than 2D platformers/Metroidvanias
