Hi MaxMinners, Get a glass of milk ready, I have a spicy take: I don’t like hunting or killing animals in open world games. Don’t care if it’s a dog attacking in ghost of Tsushima or stalking an animal in red dead redemption, I don’t like it. I’ll happily clear out an enemy outpost of nameless drones, but feel bad hurting the animals. It’s a bit of a trope in open world games. My question - do you have a trope in open world games that you don’t like? Keep up the good work Ed

Hey CLCs! What gameworld do you know better than your own backyard?

Hey MinnMaxers, I recently finished Dark Souls for the first time, my first Soulsbourne game (side note - happy 10th birthday Dark Souls). While playing the game, I was sending clips, screenshots and stories to my friend, as it's his favourite game, and I found that going through the experience while getting reactions from someone who is much more familiar with the game really enhanced the experience and made it more memorable. I've done similar things with the Outer Wilds and the Last of Us and think it's a great way to enjoy single-player games in a social way. Do you enjoy playing games this way? Have you had much experience playing a much-beloved game with expert input from a friend? Or do you prefer to just do the whole thing without outside commentary to have a purer experience? Best wishes from the UK, Jonathan

Dear MinnMax, have you considered collaborating with Last Stand Media? There are patrons that subscribe to both MinnMax's and LSM's podcasts. You all seem fond of Kinda Funny so working with someone from LSM would seem to be a pretty natural fit. I'm enjoying Janet's contributions to MinnMax. Keep on Keepin' on.

Hey friends, Are there any 2021 games that deserve a shout out to ensure people don't forget about them when the time comes to make your GOTY lists? I'd like to give a shout out to Olija, a fantastic action adventure game that released very early in the year. The game has great combat and exploration, and I feel it may be getting slept on a bit. P.S. my top three games right now are 1. Chicory 2. The Forgotten City 3. Olija (And yes, I've played Deathloop). Thanks, Dan

Having anyone from LSM would be great. I don't think Colin likes to do too many guest spots on other podcasts so maybe Dustin or someone else would be an easier get.

Hello Ben and Cohorts! If you were stuck in a one hour time loop, what would be your escape strategy? And would you even want to escape? Sure you'd be stuck forever but think of the backlog progress you could make!

Hey guys. 2021 has been a good year for me to beat a few white whale games for me. I’ve beaten a good amount of games that I’ve been considering of playing for a long while, or started, but never completed, like Yoshi’s Island DS, Mario Pinball Land and Glory of Heracles. It feels good to tie the loose ends of my library and reminiscing a bit. What’s the most recent game that all of you have beaten for the first time, but has not only been released for 10+ years, but has also been on your mind often in that span of time?

Hey gang! I know it’s still early in the PS5/Xbox Series X life cycle, but do you think we’ve already seen what will come to define this generation of consoles? And if so, what do you think that is?

Hi Gang, Have you ever made a game intentionally harder for yourself, beyond just changing the difficulty level? I remember I had an issue of Nintendo Power that had a challenge for Ocarina of Time. The challenge was to beat the game with only 3 hearts and zero deaths. I had already beaten the game a few times, so I tried the challenge. I enjoyed it so much that every time I started a new game, I would always aim for 3 hearts and zero deaths. Any examples like this from your gaming careers? Thanks! Dan

Hey everyone, This fall has a heavy FPS lineup - Far Cry 6, Back 4 Blood, Call of Duty: Vanguard, Battlefield 2042, and Halo Infinite. Which of the aforementioned games are you looking forward to most and why? Will you play any of them much beyond the first couple weeks after release?

Good afternoon, if you could press any video game soundtrack to vinyl, what are you going with?

Hey Gang - Long time first time etc...As I have gotten older, moved a few times, got married, had kids, started a business and all the stuff in life, games has kept me in touch with a single friend the entire time (12 years now). We play games on Wednesday nights for a couple hours and it has been the one thing keeping us in touch. My question to you all is - Have games as a shared experience kept any of your cherished relationships in tact over the years? Cheers!
