Hello! My girlfriend and I recently tried to start a co-op farm in Stardew Valley but she found it too mechanically dense as somebody who didn’t grow up playing video games. It’s made me realize that every time I play a new game, I come into it with existing ideas of how similar games work. Playing a game like Stardew is pretty intuitive for someone with a lot of gaming experience, but I can’t imagine how daunting it must look to someone with no experience with RPG mechanics, stamina meters, inventory systems, etc. Is there anything game developers can do to ease new adult gamers into the language of video games or is the medium doomed to be a little impenetrable to newcomers after they reach a certain age?

Hey crew! With Nintendo still releasing new amiibos, I was wondering if any of you have purchased amiibos or other gaming related figures? Which are your favorites?

Hey Leo and the hive With remakes becoming more and more popular, I have been wondering if we will ever get a remake for a game that wasn't a 8-10/10. I would love to see some remakes that not only reimagine but also improve on games that perhaps had a few good mechanics but didn't nail everything else. So my question is, what mediocre videogame from years past would you like to see remade?

Hi! I'm playing 'The Wild at Heart' on Game Pass, and it's just a great weird mix of Luigi's Mansion & Pikmin in a story about running away from home. Anyway, if you save, the guy will adjust his hat, or straighten his clothes, or something silly like that, and it looks really silly & I love it. What is the best in-game explanation for saving?

Cyberpunk 6 months later. Thoughts and feels about it?

Going through my 2nd playthrough of FFVIIR on my PS5, I set the sound effects and speech audio low while keeping the music audio high. It made the game feel so operatic and powerful. Have you got any quirks you did for subsequent playthroughs of games?

Was Nintendo right all along? About 10 years ago Mr. Iwata at Nintendo talked about the rising cost of gaming development due to the increasing demand for better graphics, sound and overall computing power. Nintendo meanwhile stayed approximately a generation behind with the launch of the Wii which helped keep game sizes down, development costs lower, as well as MSRPs on games lower. They also (outside of the occasional Zelda game) reduced game delays of major titles, reduced major bugs, and reduced the need for large, day-one patches. So, while few Nintendo games have wowed with amazing technical aspects, they've done well with innovating on gameplay. Meanwhile other devs have suffered many delays or waited many years between new titles in certain series. Was Nintendo right all along or should they be looked at differently for not wanting to push high-end, expensive systems as well as higher fidelity games? Would you trade the Switch for a dedicated, $500 home console with $70 games to have a better looking Mario Galaxy and Breath of the Wild that came out approximately one year later?

Hey crew, Do you think if the new generation of consoles were freely available to anyone who wanted them, we would be seeing less cross gen games?

Hey Cohorts, If you can be a recurring character in any show what would it be and why. Personally I’d go with Bobs Burgers. It always feels like the cast have a blast recording it.

Hello CLC’s Do you honestly think competitors look at each other like we think they do? Does Battlefield look at Call of Duty, does Xbox look at PlayStation? Do you think they are always trying to one-up each other or is it just an illusion that the fans have put up? Best, Sean M.

Here are some sets of four game series each. For each set, you need to choose one series to get a remaster (same game, but brought up to modern standards such as The Last of Us Remastered or Skyward Sword HD), one series to get a remake (same game, but on a new engine with some modern flourishes, such as Spyro Reignited or Link’s Awakening), one series to get a reboot (similar elements but fundamentally a fresh start for the series, such as X-COM Enemy Unknown or DOOM 2016), and one series to get a sequel (a new game that is very similar in style to the previous games in the series without many notable improvements, such as Spider-Man Miles Morales or Super Mario Galaxy 2). Set 1: Jak & Daxter, Splinter Cell, X-Men Legends/Ultimate Alliance, Battlefield: Bad Company Set 2: F.E.A.R., Timesplitters, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, Burnout Set 3: Fire Emblem, Sly Cooper, Killzone, Infamous Set 4: Alan Wake, Red Faction, Pokemon, Red Dead
