We're ready to kick off a gigantic discussion of Spider-Man: Miles Morales from Insomniac Games called The Deepest Dive, but we need your comment to read on the show! This time the panelists are Ben Hanson, Kyle Hilliard, Ana Diaz, and special guest (former Easy Allies member) Kyle Bosman.

For the first of two discussions, we'll be covering everything in the game up until you destroy a Nuform reactor. Please, please, please don't spoil or discuss anything after that point. Because we're continuing to grow, please keep your one comment to around the length of a tweet. We want to get to as many comments as possible.

Please submit a comment below with your specific thoughts on the game. Please don't just leave a long review, get specific. Let's talk about your favorite moment, move, time capsule, line, suit, anything specific. The more specific you are, the higher the odds of us reading your comment during the discussion. We'll finish collecting comments on Tuesday morning. Next week we'll be looking for your thoughts on the back half of Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

You can watch us record The Deepest Dive live on Tuesday evening if you're at the $10 Backstage Pass tier on Patreon. The link will be in the Backstage Pass tier on the Discord. Thanks for your support!

I really liked how the game got you set up with settings and then transitioned right from the that same subway shot into the opening scene.

The game is rock solid on PS4 Pro, which is good, since my pre-ordered PS5 will be delivered in May. Presumably 2021.

Man, the music in this game is fantastic! Every time I come out of a cutscene, it seems like no matter what beat starts up, I'm hyped to start swinging through the city!

Heyo gang, So it kinda sucks that the suit with the cat in the backpack is locked behind finishing the campaign huh? I just want to fight baddies with a little friend. Stay cool broskis, Connor

First off I love this game (the first game was my first platinum trophy) But can we just talk about the cat phone mission. So you are tasked to get this cat that some guy lost, you track his sent but keep in mind this is just a single cat. This cat go’s into the sewer, up fire escapes, over roofs, and even from a string rope from one roof to another. Did this cat get bit by a radioactive spider? (Keep in mind this is not the cat named Spider-Man) From Evan1sonic

Might be too late, but I’d just like to point out how much more fun it is doing swing tricks as Miles. I don’t remember doing anything other than a flip or spin as Peter, but I’m constantly doing crazy stuff as Miles. My favorite is when you go into a dive and he’s lying on his back, hands behind his head saying “i can get used to this” It seems like they tried to give him more style as in no matter what position he’s in when you shoot your web he reacts fluidly and the physics feel real.

Hello to the CLCs and the Dark Prince of Nerd Media, I barely had a chance to play the game but I have to say, the Christmas Eve Dinner gets an A+ in terms of accuracy to Puerto Rico. I was able to recognize tamales, arroz con habichuelas (rice with beans), and tostones (fried plantain chips). Love and respect, Sam

I appreciate that the Tinkerer's identity was revealed in the first act of the game, because as a comics fan, a name like Phin was a pretty dead giveaway of what her actual identity. Rather than spending the whole game pretending like there's a great mystery there, they chose to have that early reveal be the source of conflict in and of itself. Have you ever had an adaptation of a piece of media "spoiled" by knowing the source material?

I really love the use of “On My Own” by Jayden Smith and Kid Cudi as a triumphant song about the confidence that Miles has to be the only Spider-Man of New York. It not only fits thematically into the story that is being told but also fills out a very distinct musical motif around Miles that continues to make him stand out from the sea of other super heroes. I only wish I could swing to that song whenever felt the urge.

I mentioned this before in the post, but I think Miles' voice sounds a lot like Chance the Rapper's. Chance voice is pretty high and nasally esp when he raps.
