Name a time when you were looking forward to something so much and it turned out to be a huge letdown, and what's a time when you were not really expecting much from something but it turned out to be fantastic??? Btw extra life was amazing this year, I donated under the name Arthur Morgan and you all did your Arthur Morgan voices and it was hilarious!

Hello Maxxers, Something intriguing I have discovered last month is the game Dead By Daylight is a true cross play game. I mean, completely. There is an FAQ on their site to explain how you and your crew of friends could play on literally any platform it is on simultaneously. And of course they suggest discord for in game chat. So, if they have seen the code like Neo, what is stopping other large enough games from creating true cross play? Do you think we'll see more in the future? -Geoff aka Groffles

Howdy cohorts and a special welcome to the amazingly generous Pligge and Tom! My question - what video game characters would make the best roommates? And which would make for the absolute worst roommates possible? Thanks. I'll take my answer off the air. Bob

2 sentence Series X review: Not all that excited about native 4K and 60FPS, but having access to hundreds of quality games through Games Pass is AMAZING! I feel like a kid in a candy store when I look at the Game Pass list.

Series X Review: I love the speed of starting up games and loading saves. Fast travel in AC: Valhalla (the game I've played most so far on the new system) only takes a couple seconds, which is wonderful. Quick Resume is a delight, as I bounce back and forth between Valhalla and Tetris Effect Connected. As someone, with very limited gaming time because of work and parenting, I really appreciate this speed and efficiency. I do wish there were launch games, but I'm happy to play my backlog (Dishonored 2) and new third party games in the meantime (Valhalla, Yakuza: Like a Dragon). Also, making lots of use of the share button! However, I will say that downloading games is finicky. If you have a game open, it only downloads at about 20% speed (for me that means 20 MB/s instead of 100-150), so you want to make sure to quit out of everything.

Hello Ben and the CLCs! First time, long time here; with next gen starting this week Ive been downloading my massive ps4 game library for easy access next gen and its had me reflecting on all the great games this generation gave us. My question is this- what games surprised you the most this generation? Whether it be a game in a genre you never saw liking previously or something you thought would be mediocre but turnes out incredible. Two stand out in my mind; stardew valley for its perfect marriage of several sim genres i never cared for and The Surge for getting me into souls games. Thanks for all you do! -Al Pal

Hey CLC's, I picked up a series s as I still need to upgrade my TV and saving $200 now, will allow for more going towards a better television. Plus, the stuff I'm most excited for on PlayStation are years out (looking at you Naughty Dog). I'm loving the S so far. I normally don't buy games unless I'm completely into them so I missed DeadCells, Outerworlds, Doom Eternal, Anthem, Tetris Effect, and many more last gen. Game pass is an absolute game changer for me and adding on quick resume it's been amazing. The last two weeks I was going back and forth about cancelling the pre order, but after one night I'm glad I kept it.

I got an Xbox Series X and I love it so far. One complaint though: Quick Resume hasn't been working for Yakuza Like a Dragon. Has anyone else had inconsistent Quick Resume? I love the function but wondering if it will actually work when I use it kinda defeats the purpose. PS: Quick Resume makes RDR2 easy to jump in and out of so Jeff has no excuse anymore.

Hey same here. It’s currently disabled for a lot of games due to bugs according to Microsoft

Ok good to know. I tried to find a list of disabled games but couldn't. I'm glad to know in not the only one and hopefully they fix it soon

Hello Ben and Crew and a belated congrats on the one year anniversary. My first day impressions of my new Series X are very positive. During the unboxing, I actually said...out loud...in an empty room...."OH MAN!"...twice. The first time was when you open up the treasure chest-like box and the system is sitting there all nice and pretty and the second time was when I grabbed the controller for the first time. I loved the heft and the textured grips right away. While setting it up though, I was disappointed to find out that my XBOX told me I didn't have HDR capabilities on my TV. Turns out Samsung TVs have what is called HDR10+ which is not compatible with the Series X. Kind of a bummer but not a deal breaker because this can be added in later, but still disappointing. Finally, a feature that I am going to find indispensable is the quick resume. I have two kids that also love gaming. I can't tell you how many times I've lost progress in a game because they switched games on me. My youngest wanted to play Forager last night, so I stopped playing AC Valhalla and handed the new controller over. She booted up Forager, played for about an hour and handed the controller back. Within seconds I was back into Valhalla right were I left off not losing a second of progress. **Chef's kiss** Beautiful.

Hey Ben and the Gang! I don't have a Xbox Series X release unit but I do have the DevKit and wanted to ask....is the controller SUPER hollow sounding to anyone else? It kinda makes the controller feel cheap in my opinion, overall great improvements especially the textured grip, but C'mon!!!! Batteries again! The switch pro controller has 50hrs of charge!

I don't know a lot about HDR but my Samsung QLED seems to be working with HDR. At least in the video settings I have the green checkmark and when I play Assassin's Creed it shows HDR as active.
