We're breaking the beloved Nintendo 64 3D platformer up into three sections/discussions, with this one covering everything from the first Bowser boss fight through the second called Bowser in the Fire Sea. So in this discussion we talk about the ramping difficulty, Hazy Maze Cave, Lethal Lava Land, Shifting Sand Land, Dire, Dire Docks, and of course the metal cap. Even though we're all playing Super Mario 64 on the Nintendo Switch with the Super Mario 3D All-Stars edition, you're welcome to play along on the Nintendo DS, virtual console, or the original Nintendo 64.
