Hey guys! What’s a really specific thing you care about in games that doesn’t guarantee it’ll make it good? I get really invested in customization and RDR2 scratches that itch more than any other game I played. Did nothing for how terrible that gunplay is, but it was a big part of what made me stick through it and it’s one of my favorite games ever

Hey Benzene Hanson and the Chemist Crew, If you had a statue erected in your honour, what would it be for, where would it be, and what would it say on the plaque?

Hey MinnMax crew! Do you all think mobile gaming will develop into a serious platform? I don't necessarily expect it to compete with the major he consoles but it feels like there is a market there that is being ignored? Love the show and love you all. Be safe, Tony

Hey Ben and the CLC’s Surprise, a child has appeared in your home and you are now responsible for taking care of them. Congratulations! They are eager to play video games, what is the first game you give them to play?

Hey Ben, what surprised you about your interview with Kyle Bossman? Has the thought of someone leaving MinnMax crossed your mind already? Who do you think will be the first? You can say Jeffum Cheers, Chris J

Hope everyone at MinnMax is doing good. My questions this week is has Ben tried Disaster Report 4? It could be a nominee for niche game of the year. Also has anyone tried a board game called Terror Below? I don't know anything about it but the box art grabbed my attention. Mick from Maine

Hey, so a few weeks ago Kyle talked about his daughter's middle name being inspired from Portal. Amongst my kids, we have used 4 names inspired from video games and they go a little something like this: Oldest boy's named Loch (LOCK), inspired from FF6's Locke. Oldest daughter's name is Sydney partially based on all the Cid's in Final Fantasy games. Also her middle name is Priere (PREEYAY) inspired from a little JRPG tactics game called La Pucelle Tactics with Prier as the main character. Finally our little one year old is named Vaughn, inspired by the name Vaan from FF12. We've changed all the spellings and we really don't care much about those specific characters; we just have found video games to be a great source for finding solid names. I dare the rest of you Minnmaxers without young'uns to come up with at least one solid name drawn from a videogame you would consider naming a future kiddo. And no jokey stuff.

Hey Ben, who are some of your very favorite podcast hosts, and what are some great podcasts you would recommend? Keep up the good work MinnMaxers!

Hey CLCs. ReRE3 gave me survival horror fever and I replayed The Evil Within 2. If you find all of a certain collectible, it teases that we'll find out what happened to a character from the first game. Maybe in DLC or a sequel? But of course it didn't sell well enough and they've moved on to a new IP. We've all got stories we'd like finished, sequels we'd like to see, but what's your favorite minor loose thread that will never, ever, ever-ever get tied up?

Hey Howdy Hey Hanson and the 'horts, Do you guys feel that video game protagonist have a diversification problem or do you feel it is getting a lot better? Personally, i think its slowly getting more diverse, but strong american white male protagonists are still everywhere! Not only that, but these characters even all sound the same. Quick quiz, which of these protagonists were voiced by Nolan North: 1) Alex - COD: MW 2) JD - Gears of War 4 and Gears 5 3) Captain Martin Walker - Spec Ops: The Line 4) Kyle Crane - Dying Light The answer is 3, but if you listen to all of these guys, they ALL sound exactly the same. They are all separate voice actors too. The popularity of games like Uncharted have led game developers to strive for this in some weird way. What do y'all think, has it gotten better? Will the strong white male protagonist trope soon be a thing of the past? Thanks, Queso

Hey Ben and the CLC's, With Gears Tactics having a positive reaction thus far, I thought about having other series take a dive into a wildly different genre. What if Civilization turned into a base-building/musou style game as you progress through history? Or take a Platinum style game and slow it down to being a turn-based/menu-based combat experience. What game series would you like to see try a different genre? I have a game for you guys. I will list two to three tracks from the soundtrack. You will guess the game. Ben, you can add the composer too if that will help. 1. The Girl in the Tower; Doors; Will the Circle Be Unbroken; Gary Schyman 2. Blue Fields; Roses and Wine; Timber Owls; Nobuo Uematsu 3. A Yearning for the Sky; Kwolok's Hollow; Shriek; Gareth Coker 4. Get Use to It; Mine, Windbag, Mine; Build That Wall; Darren Korb 5. Bustin' Chops; The Gates of Shambhala; A Rock and a Hard Place; Greg Edmonson Answers: Bioshock Infinite, Final Fantasy VIII, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Bastion, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

I'm still finishing off this episode, and I have to say; I take a bit of offense to Jeff M's comment about his mother. Now sure; I've been gaming most of my life, but I'm a 55 year old gamer/streamer. So do hear Jeff say his mother is to old to beat a difficult video is a little offense to us older games! Just putting that out there
