Good stuff guys. I strongly agree with Kyle on the quality of Megaman X7. That isn't just the worst Megaman X game, it's one of the worst games ever made. If someone came to me and offered me a million dollars, but I had to 100% clear that game again, I would actually have to think about it. It's great that they made such a huge comeback with X8, which is one of the best in the X series.

If you ever did want to do a book club podcast, some video game related suggestions (that are shorter than Neal Stephenson's Reamde): William Gibson's Peripheral (time travel + video game streaming + espionage); and L.X. Beckett's Gamechanger (VR gaming + social workers without some of the less charming aspects of Ready Player One). Or, less gaming related and shorter than some of Thomas Pynchon's best novels, maybe Jeff Vandermeer's Annihilation or NK Jemisin's new novel The City We Became? Keep up the great work!

Not really in the spirit of the game you played, but two of my lifetime top ten, Ico and Silent Hill 2, released on the same day in late September of 2001. My buddy and I, still largely shell-shocked from 9/11, were eager for a good distraction, and boy, did the universe deliver on that otherwise nondescript Tuesday.

Exporting that version has been a nightmare, but I’ll try to have it up tonight!

Oh wow, I forgot those games were released not long after that day. Both of them are very amazing games!
