This message is addressed directly towards JeffM: Don't worry, Jeff, Final Fantasy VII is just as good today as it was back in it's initial release, if not better. I can safely say that, because my first Final Fantasy was VIII, I loved the characters and the world so much I tried to play previous games as I heard VII is in high regards. I quickly bounced off of it because at that time VIII looked gorgeous and VII lacked in that department compared to the newer game. This was back in 2000-2001 when I was a freshman in highschool. Jump forward a couple of years, the first year I joined the work force I had a decent salary, I bought an original copy of VII on PlayStation and it was AMAZING! The music and the world just grabs you, no matter how dated the graphics are. And even better today because you can read up on many theories and you have access to a lot of into on questionable aspects of the game. I beat the game in 2010 and played Dirge of Cerberus, watched Advent Children and beat Crisis Core on PSP. I was really into the world of FFVII. Pro tip: don't play Crisis Core before finishing FFVII, the ending was the least expected for me and it killed me...

Been listening since the Helgeson days and this has been bothering me the whole time! When everyone does a top 5 list of something, it can get a bit muddled. Someone suggests something as their number 5 and talks about it a while, then someone else says that was their number 1. That's slightly spoiled interest the other person's list. By the time you get to the number 1s and 2s, a lot have already been talked about so it's a bit of an anti-climax. Also it's hard to remember who chose what. The group's most popular choice was probably talked about early on with the least passionate person leading the discussion and the most passionate ones sometimes just saying "that was my number 1". Wouldn't it be better to combine all the top 5s into a single list? 1 point for each number 5 game, 5 points for each number 1, and the game with the most points is the group's overall number 1. That way it's clear which the overall most popular choices are and you build up to the overall number 1.

Haha Ben wants Watch Dogs 3 to give out its central mechanic immediately because he's only gonna play it for an hour. You gotta earn it Ben!

Damn Ben called that Cyberpunk delay! Haha

My clothes do smell if they've sat in my drawer for a while.

I'm most excited for DOOM Eternal. DOOM 2016 was a game made for me.. SPECIFICALLY! and I expect Eternal to be even more so. Rounding out my other 4 Cyberpunk Halo Infinite TLOU2 and Ori and the Will of the Wisps Honorable/Curious but not sold Mentions: Gears Tactics... what is this going to be? WHO KNOWS?! Oh and Avengers. Hopeful Mentions: BOTW 2, Mass Effect Trilogy Remaster, and Metroid Prime Trilogy port/remaster.

A suggestion I've thought of for top 5-10 lists: when counting down and someone has an entry that is further up on someone else's list, defer discussion until you reach it on that person's list. For example, when Suriel pulls Cyberpunk 2077 at his #4, defer to whoever has it highest on their list (Jeff at #1). I think it would help ramp up to actual #1's, and allow whoever is most enthusiastic to lead the discussion on that topic. Might not work on every list, but its a thought I've had listening to so many end/beginning of year lists lately - they'll have big hits in the middle of the whole discussion and can peter out by the end, wrapping up on everyone's #2's and #3's since their top slots had already been talked about. Much love! So excited for 2020.

Glad to hear Kentucky Route Zero on the radar! Been also waiting until it's finished before jumping in. Animal Crossing, Cyberpunk, and TLOU: Part II are my personal most anticipated.
