I can make my life, and everyone else's lives, so much easier by putting the material image files in the data folder of a DAZ item...
There's no reason I can think of that stops anyone from doing that. It's fewer folders and textures match up to specific items. Trundling through a large runtime folder looking for textures specific to an item can get annoying (I usually just use the tool tip inside D|S to figure that out).
Anyone think of a reason why I shouldn't? I have a few items ready to post so I might try one as an experiment.

Just realized that the data folder isn't created until I save the item to the content library, but I need the textures on before I can save it.
I either have to create the directory beforehand or I can save it, copy the textures in, apply them and resave the item.
