Some time ago (3 years!!) I made a post describing my animation process. One part of the process (bottom of step 4) involved doing test renders to make sure lights and everything else look good BEFORE you start a big render session and go to bed for the evening.

Well, I didn't follow my own advice and started a big video render last night, so when I checked on it this morning, I found 2 obvious mistakes. That meant I need re-render the entire sequence!

1) I adjusted the material on the panties, but only for the first (of 3) props in the scene (if you want to know why there are 3 of them, check here). That means the other 2 still had the old material, so it's very noticeable when it switches.

2) I didn't check lights for the 2nd camera angle, and the character's face is very dark. Need to adjust lighting to fix that.

So, there goes 129 frames down the drain. Lesson (re)learned.

When there's multiple steps and multiple things to check, every once in awhile you'll forget. It really sucks but it's just another lesson to re-remind you. :D

Even when it's "bad" it's still good😁. Interesting to see just how much goes into these animations

short answer: A lot :) I even had an issue recently with a "haunted" frame that had to be removed to fix one of the cuts
