I've been trying to think of an analogy of how powerful the support of the patrons and other supporters has been over these six years, not just for me but for all of the people impacted by the podcast. So let's find some examples....Answer these questions in the comments....

What state are you from? What is your state flower (or favorite flower)? What is one town in your state with a population of 18,000 to 22,000? If you have visited the town or have any fun facts share them too!!!

For example...I'm Drew from California...our state flower is the California Poppy. Arcata CA has a population of 18,000 people. I got stuck there one time when all the roads were closed, I was visiting friends, in was about 15 years ago and it was on a road trip where I first fell in love with podcasts.

I'm Nancy, my favorite flower is the iris, and I'm originally from Burbank, California but I've lived in the smallish town of Arcata, too, and still love to make the trek back up behind the Redwood Curtain of Humboldt County to visit old friends and even older trees. Fun fact - the statue of William McKinley in the Wikipedia photo was removed and relocated earlier this year, due to controversy over McKinley's allegedly racist and imperialistic policies. Arcata is nothing if not on the cutting edge of political correctness. Another small town near and dear to my heart is Yreka, just north of Mt Shasta in Siskiyou County. Yreka's population is about 7500, and it was home to a palindromic pastry shop, the Yreka Bakery.

My name is Felicia. I'm from West Virginia. Our state flower is the rhododendron. We either have really big or really small cities, but I believe Wheeling has a population of 26,000. Fun fact-In some state parks in WV, the local wildlife is really tame, so once I was on a picnic and a deer came up right beside me and ate food off my plate.
