Hey all,

So this is gonna be the last set of Before/After teasers we'll be seeing for the upcoming v11 Revamp update. For a complete breakdown discussion of these pics, you can check out the extended video log here. Otherwise, let's jump into the discussion and highlight a few changes.

I'm really excited to show some of these off. Lot of visual changes and new things that I'm experimenting with here so hopefully you enjoy the progress and still seeing that I'm trying to keep things fresh.

Also, warning: these images contain NSFW content if you didn't notice already

Alright... 'nuff stalling. Let's jump in:

Pic 1:  This first pic is comically horrible and is another good excuse to complain about that same outside background image that we 1) see a million times, and 2) never moves no matter how far the characters run. Obviously, the majority of the story takes place indoors-- most of which ends up happening in the dorm room itself. But the characters going outside and doing random activities like the jog together is a good opportunity to show off some extra parts of the campus and try and open the world up a bit. The original game just relied on one outside image (those fucking trees) and that's all we ever saw.

Pic 2: Direct replacement here and one of the biggest upgrades we've seen in the Revamp. Welcome to the new outside. We've seen Zack walk to class a few times and both of the characters walk to the clinic. This upgraded shot smashes part of the park design into more outside terrain to really expand the visuals for the campus. We'll be seeing more shots during the jog including seeing the actual pond that's only referenced in the original narrative and wasn't seen until much later in the game and only in the Respect route. This upgrade also features some quick outfit changes for both characters during the jog. Braden's outfit is a little more skin tight/base layer kinda feel and Zack ends up borrowing some shorts that have some fun ironic foreshadowing for later in the story. We also see the use of bloom in this image. I'm not usually a fan of bloom because i think it tends to bleed everything together too much in most games. However, it's something new I'm experimenting with so here it really does a good job giving us that dusty sunlight effect you'd see on a really bright day.

Pic 3: This shot is a choice-based teaser. In the original game, when Braden leaves his shampoo in the room, you had a choice to take it down to him or wait in the room and prank him when he comes back to get it. This current example is from the latter. The biggest problem with this picture is that towel: somehow I screwed up the texture with it and I honestly don't think I knew what i even did enough to fix it. I also wanted to change up the camera shots here. We've seen a lot of overhead wrestling camera shots in the game already so I wanted some variation to this scene to make it stand out a bit better.

Pic 4: Direct replacement here. Completely new camera angle with depth of field added to help focus your eyes better. The towel is off to the side where it fell off and looks much more naturally placed on the floor. I've also tweaked this scene to have a little less overt nudity in it. That doesn't mean you won't be seeing nudity-- you definitely will. It just wont be in every shot. I think too much ends up saturating the tone of the scene. Instead, we'll be seeing shots like this and the nudity is a bit more purposeful and moderated. It should feel more realistic. There's more contact in the Revamp and that should come across as way more sensual than what we saw in the original where a towel fell off and Zack saw Braden's ding ding. Also some major upgrades to the facial expressions to really make this shit awkward. Aaaaaaand, there's animation for Zack's wandering eyes that give us the full frontal.

Pic 5: This next pic is from the end of the original Chapter 5-- from the notorious scene that I've dubbed "Shower Lie." There's not a lot to talk about here that we haven't already regarding shower shots: the lighting is awful so we'll be seeing an upgrade there like you're probably already used to. The main reason I'm showing this shot is that the original game had the camera focused on Mikhail the entire time that Zack was actually the one talking and that didn't really make sense when the camera pans slowly back to the hallway.

Pic 6: Here's our upgrade shot. During the Revamp, the narrative AND the camera will be focused on Zack while he runs his mouth at the end of the chapter. This really helps punctuate the direction of the narrative. I also still like Zack being nude in this scene-- not because of the erotic nature but because symbolically, everything is stripped away and you're seeing a very raw part of him.

Pic 7: This last pic is from the original and while also containing a shower scene, this is an alternative to pics 3 and 4. When Zack chooses to take the shampoo down to Braden, we see a slightly more comfortable Braden in the shower. However, in addition to the bad lighting here, we just have a terrible pose. I think for this scene to really hit, we needed better lighting and something a little more intoxicating about it.

Pic 8: Direct replacement. The answer was steam. In the replacement shower scene, Braden has the hot water fucking cranked in here. The steam gives us enough of a visual to see him but still tease a bit. Braden's facial expressions here are a lot better and we'll be seeing a slightly more extended visual exchange regarding the shampoo. If you recall from the original, there's a head tilt scene where Zack's eyes wander-- in the Revamp, that will be fully animated as well.

So that's all for today. There's a ton of new stuff in this next update that I can't wait to show off. Honestly, this was one of the harder updates to show teasers for. I'm working on the music and stuff now. I'm hoping to have it out by next weekend so stay tuned

It's insane how much difference lighting can make, holy shit. Can't wait to see the rest! 💙💚

for real! it's crazy how lifeless a poorly lit image can look then you get the right lighting in there and it hits like a truck. It's still very much a journey for me trying to learn how to do all this stuff so i'm still happy that we'll hopefully continue to see improvements in the Revamp just like we did the original

Wow! So cool! I also missed a lot because when I first played the game I went the naughty route. I think I will go back to that original game before the revamp and play the respected way to get a feel or maybe I will just wait and play the respected route when you are done with the revamp to give me more of a surprise. Anyway, great pics and looking forward to this
