Hello, my good friends!
Before we start talking about this mysterious list, I've got so many new patrons that I've got to give all of you a thanks and a shout out! You're all amazingly generous, and we're stoked to have you here!
Okay, so I can't remember if I mentioned it earlier, but this week I'm getting a wonderful opportunity. Most of my other time-sucking obligations are going to be suspended for a number of days, leaving me with some sweet, sweet free time. I don't want to get super ahead of myself and start making crazy promises, but I'm hoping I can get a really good amount of work done in this time. Everything that you see go up on the channel was made over many spurts--short snippets of time during the day and few-hour stretches most evenings. Basically my regular "free time" when I'm not paying the bills and fulfilling those previously-mentioned personal obligations. I haven't even had one full day to myself for most of this year, so having several is obviously an exciting prospect.
In the potato-quality image above you'll find a list I jotted down last week or so of the stuff I wanted to get done before and during this "workcation." Again, I'm not going to make promises, but I would be happy to at the very least shoot most of this and edit it over time. You might find a few interesting items on there... I wish you luck trying to figure out exactly what some of them might mean. I've been talking about some mystery projects for so long that I figured I owed it to you to give you at least a tiny, barely-helpful glimpse. With one of them in particular I've just been waiting for an opportunity like this, so keep your fingers crossed that everything goes well on the technical side and I can do what I've been aiming to do without further delays. With any luck I'll be able to get ahead by a number of weeks and I can start December's videos right when my workcation is over. Same goes for LP's; with so much uninterrupted time I can record a ton of episodes, probably more than enough to release two a week for the rest of the year.
Speaking of living up to goal-related promises, you new patrons at the $3 level are now probably regretting your decision, as you've no doubt realized that I am NO GOOD at releasing regular vlogs! So I've officially decided to start doing audio log-diary-journal-journiaryog type things instead. Not only will this be easier to edit and all that, but it's way easier for me to just talk versus being "on" for the camera, so I can talk about stuff for a lot longer and overall just be more casual. I'd love to discuss current gaming events and all that, and I've already got a number of topics jotted down for the first one, which I hope to do along with this other stuff. My goal is to do one every two weeks, with more if I can swing it. Maybe if some big news drops and I want to talk about it I can rush out one of these with my initial thoughts. Basically, we'll see how it goes, but I think it's going to be a lot better than the vlogs were. And I'll be able to stop feeling guilty! Win-win.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the Ittle Dew 2 review. That was a pelasant surprise; I'd been waiting for the game for ages, and when I saw that it finally got a release date I asked the developer for a review key and they game me one, so I've been playing the game and working on the review for the last several days. It all happened pretty fast and recently, so that's why I didn't tell you about it sooner. It's a really amazing game and I highly suggest checking it out!
Well my workcation starts tomorrow, and I'm trying to figure out what I want to work on first. I'm extremely lucky that I've got a "job" where I feel like a kid in a candy store when I'm trying to pick what WORK I want to do. Sometimes it's hard to get stuff out, but I'm seriously having a blast here. This is getting closer to a real job all the time, and it's amazing.
Anyway, that's all for now! Talk to you soon!
