How about Mario Kart Plus for a name? Nintendo's been liking its relatively simple additions for iterative names (New 3DS, Switch Lite, DSi, etc), and I think just adding Plus is a good way to keep the branding and show that it's not just Mario anymore.

Incidentally, I also suspect that the next model of Switch, whether a new generation or a "pro" model, will be called the Switch Plus.

Awww, I love u too. :3 And I am totally on the same page! Every thing I was about to mention in a comment (character abilities, reveal trailers, etc.) you touched on! As for a name, I think it’d be hard to do anything different than Mariokart: All-Stars. Unless they do 9, but I really hope they don’t.

I like the concept of "frenemies" because it applies to both in-game characters (i.e. Enemies coming together for a friendly cart race) and us playing it (i.e. friends coming together for a rivalry)

Super Mario Kart! I don’t really think the name needs much if any changing. I love the idea of more characters and tracks and crossovers. The legend of Zelda track is one of my favorite tracks.

Maybe "Mario Kart Party" or "Mario Kart Super Mashup". "Mario Kart Mishmash", "Mario Kart Scramble" or "Scramble Party" or Even "Mario Kart Super Scramble Mashup Party Ensemble"! :)
