Hey! I'm working with an excellent artist on the Arlopalooza 2018 shirt design, and this is what we've got so far. I like it, but one friend I asked didn't like it. So what I really need is more opinions!

What do you think? You like it? You hate it? You KINDA like it? You'd like it if it weren't for one little thing? If you feel like taking the poll and dropping a comment I'd hugely appreciate it. And feel free to be completely honest; I want this to be something that everyone can enjoy. And if a lot of people end up disliking it, we'll just go back to the drawing board, no problem.

Whatever happens I do want to stick with the Smash character reveal theme. And if you're trying to picture this exact design on an actual shirt, we're leaning toward putting it on red.

It’s awesome! I love to see the different controllers of consoles and then the switch is the one that your holding! Also is this a leg reveal

Hey Arlo! I like the concept but there's a couple things in the execution that I think are holding this one back. First of all is that this is the first time in any media we've seen you below your torso. So right away it doesn't look like the familiar "Arlo" we know and love. I think if it was only your torso and head emerging from the circle it'd work a lot better. That's just my $.02. hope the con is a blast!!!

I would find a way to increase the contrast between you and the dark background. Your face kind of blends in.

I really like the overall design but the controller on the far right side could be misconstrued as a rude gesture from a distance I think.

Eh, I'll be honest, it's not very "Wear on body!"-able in my books. Looks closer to the shirts you get for free from a blood drive. The city/hands backshadow looks cool in a community way, but Arlo could use some work on the face and with some more detail.

I love the design, especially how the controllers are lined up together. Your design is cartoony but fun, the Smash font is easily recognizable for fans. I think the only issue is that it's hard to understand what it is right away. I'm not sure if it's because it's a blue design on a blue background, or the shadow, or something else, that just makes it feel a bit cluttered. However, I do still think it's very well designed and I would personally rate it a good 5.5/7

I really like the smash concept and also the "Arlos wants to hang!" but the Arlo design looks kinda weird to me, like a little bit to stretched. I hope I can get the shirt later in some way because I don't think I can make it to Arlopalooza :( But buying a shirt, I cand defenitely do that!

I'm in the "like it except one little thing" category, that being that the face looks a little off. Granted, I feel this way about many of the designs that already made it onto shirts, so maybe I'm just hard to please, but the face currently looks pretty froglike, and a touch more "crazed" than the "joyful" look we've come to associate with Arlo smiles; extending the upper lip downward past the eyes would go a long way, I think.

Well I think my feedback has already been suggested a couple times here - the concept is great, but the Arlo on the design doesn't look like the Arlo in my head. Is that feedbcak too subjective? I mean, I think any design that features your lower Torso and legs will be polarizing, because they're pure imagination in the minds of your fans, so there will always be a certain portion of people who's imagination will disagree. In the end, if you like it and it's exactly how you want it, then I'd go with it! If you want to play it safe, then a bust perspective might be better than full body one.

This is a minor suggestion, but if the ocarina was replaced with the SNES controller, you’d have the full set of Nintendo console controllers and the ocarina wouldn’t feel as out of place (not saying the ocarina doesn’t work, just makes more sense to me if it was the SNES controller instead)

I like this design, though I'd like to suggest some tweaks. There's just something about Arlo's appearance in this image that doesn't sit right. Maybe make the eyes a little rounder and the fur with a little more ruffles? I also think the tongue should be a little bit smaller and curved to go with the shape of the mouth. And I think you ought to change the text to "Arlo Wants to Hang Out!" because "...Wants to Hang" sounds wrong in a different context, if you know what I mean. As far as the shirt color goes, I think red is fine, but maybe not a BRIGHT red, maybe a little darker shade.

I would focus more on the Arlo design by adding more detail/cut the torso and remove some of what if consider to be clutter in the picture (the controllers).

I like the round design with the controllers (and ocarina) and the fact that yours holding the Switch is part of that, the "Arlo wants to hang!" with the paint stroke, but like others commented, I partly have an issue with your waist down showing. I think it's something that should never be seen on designs like it doesn't show in your videos. Think of it like the humans in the Tom &amp; Jerry show, seeing their faces would not feel good I think. Apart from that, I don't really like the way your face is drawn (I love how it's painted in my "Arlo planet" shirt -the one with your face floating in space- and the drawing where you're in Olimar's shoes (which, by the way, I wonder why it's not a t-shirt yet). Aaaand I feel "Arlopalooza 2018" is kinda lost, should probably be more prominent, maybe under the whole circle as to not compete with the hands/controllers, but I understand it's tricky as it could also compete with the "Arlo wants to hang! phrase. It's tricky. Anyways, those are my two ccouples of cents.

I like the design overall. Here are my issues in order of importance: 1. Your legs. This would be an officially sanctioned visualization of your lower body. If that's what you want, cool, but in my opinion there should not ever be canonical Arlo Legs, for reasons I'm sure you understand. 2. The "Arlopalooza" text should be a bit bigger. It kinda gets lost with everything going on. 3. I don't think people are getting what the joystick is supposed to be. I'm assuming it's a joystick, some people seem to think it's an ocarina. Maybe an SNES controller would be more appropriate, and/or maybe adding some detail to the controllers would make that more clear. I can’t be at Arlopalooza because I don’t live in California, but it’s pretty good. I think the head needs to look a little fuzzier.

I like it. I think like some people say a bit of tweaking on the body and face, but that's to be expected with a WiP design. I still have a hard time handling Arlo's legs. Will there be a way to buy this shirt if we can't go to the event?

I love it! A few things I would change are the Joystick, since it kind of clashes with the Nintendo controller theme, and the eyes seem like they should be a tad smaller. Great design!

I second both the "no legs" and the "more fuzzy" voices. I recognized the joystick, but it doesn't seem to fit the other Nintendo controllers somehow. The face is also a bit off for me - because it's inaccurate. The eyes should be round, the mouth more muppety (it's weird, Arlo always reminds me of the Muppets for some reason) and, again, more fuzz. The fingers holding the Switch should also not be so clearly recognizable, Arlo hands always look like bushy mittens. But the idea itself is cool, though Arlo's name should totally be in the font used on the channel logo and Patreon and stuff. The green color wouldn't fit, but the font, why not?

Coloring and the black circle with the controller hands are great. But your body feels a bit off (maybe less round and more fur details?) And I would try out different fonts/text positions. That' just some suggestions/my opinion ofc. but I think that this changes could give it the final touch to I love it.

I'd replace the oldskool joystick with the SNES controller as some people have suggested. Also who the heck thinks that's an ocarina?!

Agree with Daniel Tiefert, your body looks weird, too big maybe? Too much blue together. Same with the Font, it looks like the default Windows font, there must be another free font that will look better. I'd buy it anyway! It's just my opnion

Arlo, this is about the worst thing you can do to that poor designer! Good premise, but the execution is wanting in a couple areas. Arlo's face isn't recognizably Arlo, even allowing for caricature. The black planet behind him makes for a lot of unbroken black area that's not doing a lot. Personally I'd save the ink and reduce it down to Arlo, plus the titles, plus the black streaks behind the titles. If the "community of gamers" motif is really important to the concept, find another approach or shrink it down.

It's good in its own Weigh. The signal of the different hands pulling out different controllers, To give out games will be played, And Arlo jumping with the switch To signify his Hand Of being a part of it. (A little bit much going on, but Good) And giving the text with the ink Splash, To signify the smash reveal, Is interesting. And Arlo himself.. Well It could have been designed a bit better But That's mainly because I'm looking at it in my own skill set, And how to Design. But to be honest. I don't feel like that matters (Maybe it's because I'm not good at pulling out my own artistic hand over someone else's ^^) But. for me the only thing that's Really bothering me, Is the grey outline around Arlo, It's pulling some unnecessary Attention. Maybe make it the same colour as the dark-grey outline around the circle. So the blue on Arlo Will stick more out. And Also the text saying “Arlopalooza 2018” Could be Pull A little bit out so there's a bit of space in between. But overall It's okay. And sends out a gaming feel

I just think the stretchy, curved body isn't quite right. Don't mind about legs, but I think a stockier design is better suited.

I feel like this is a good suggestion that should be taken to heart! Making it more familiar with the Arlo we see all the time and love, would be a big improvement! That said, i already like it a lot! (I love that it's a Smash reveal)

I like the idea of the design, I just think the specific artwork is rather.... unpolished. it could look a lot better with a little bit better colouring.

Maybe you should say “hang out”? I don’t thing anyone will actually misinterpret the shirt this way, but “wants to hang” sounds more like suicide than a friendly competition to me.
