Hello!  How are you?  How was your E3?

Well mine was GREAT.  Like I said before, I had someone helping me for the week and was able to get a ton of work done.  Normally I struggle to get one video out a week, but I was able to do my two reaction videos PLUS three others all within a few days.  And that's including the longest episode ever of The Gamer's Brief, and those take a lot of time to shoot and edit!  I'm exhausted but I loved every minute of it.  I can't remember which day it was, but it was the most I'd ever worked on anything in one day.  I got up in the morning, started working, and stayed up working until 1:00am, only stopping for the obvious essentials like eating.  It was something like fifteen or sixteen hours.  At the end of it all I wish I could have done more than just the three, but it is what it is.  I've still got more E3 goodness to come though, so without further ado, here's what you can expect in the near future!  Keep in mind these are all working titles.

"Nintendo's BACK, Baby!!!"

This is going to be a big one.  Most of my videos that make broad statements about Nintendo seem to do well, and I've been saying that the Switch MIGHT be the big turning point for Nintendo for a while now, but you know what?  E3 did it for me.  I'm completely sold.  I believe that Nintendo is back in full swing, making awesome games for EVERYBODY.  It's the comeback we've been waiting for for years, and I'm going to talk about why I think that is.  So look out for that one, I want to get it out ASAP.

"E3 Keeps Getting Better and Better"

Self explanatory.  E3 used to be comprised of 90% fluff--games no one cares about, guys in suits droning on and on for ages about nothing, cringey moments by the bucketload, etc.  The last two years E3 has been on another level, and I think publishers are finally realizing what it is their audience is looking for.  Sounds like good video material to me.  It's a little tough because it's not a SUPER important topic so I don't want to give it high priority, but on the other hand it becomes less relevant the further we get from E3.  So I guess I'll just have to feel it out.

"E3 Impressions: The Other Guys"

This would be like my Nintendo Spotlight impressions video, but it would cover all the other conferences at E3.  It's got the same problem as the "better and better" video though; it's not that important, especially because I don't know how many people will watch it if it's not about Nintendo, but they're even LESS likely to watch it later.  I want to cover other companies, but I wonder if it's even worth trying, at least for this video.  It should be pretty quick and easy to edit though, so I'll probably just do it when I do it and see how it does.

"Aukey Battery Review"

The poor guys who sent me this battery...  I've been so busy that I haven't had time to review it.  But I need to get it done soon, especially because lots of people are getting Switches now, and they need to know how awesome this battery it!  Should be easy to do, just need to buckle down and do it.

"Shirt Contest Finalists"

Right before E3 started I narrowed down my shirt design contest entries most of the way, and I just need to cut down a couple more and I'll have fifteen finalists.  At that point I can make a video, work out all the voting and stuff, and we can find out what the three Arlo shirts are going to look like!  So that will be fun.

I'm sure there's other stuff I'm interested in doing, but I think I need to focus on these until they're all done, then REALLY get down to business on my Zelda review.  Now that E3's over that will be the number one priority.  I've been toying with the format and I think I'm about ready to start nailing stuff down.

That's it for now, I've got to get back to work!  As always, thanks a MILLION TRILLION to all my new patrons!  Feel free to say hello with a comment!

Talk to you soon!

Have you ever been so excited for a game and had such a specific vision of what it'll look like, that when its gameplay does get revealed, despite being SO PUMPED to see it in motion, your reaction is just..."Yup. That's what that is. Okay, moving on"? Because that was me with this Spider-Man game Insomniac is working on. I've been beyond excited, and then I saw it, and it's honestly a far more polished version of the movie tie-in games we've gotten. Dunno what I expected...still happy with it though.

Thanks for the update. The E3 reaction video and the "why we lost our shit over the Metroid 4 announcement" were both excellent

I would love an 'E3: The Other Guys' video

KissMyFlapjack

I love how Nintendo has given you some amazing reactions this year alone - with the reveal of Super Mario Odyssey in January and now Metroid Prime 4 at E3. After years of bad spinoffs and questionable decisions, they are really catering to us, the fans, and that is so pleasing to see, finally. Your Metroid reaction - I watch that daily. Its so great. I love how you try to keep it together for as long as possible, but then just completely lose it. And then "Stop the stream! Stop the stream! What is this (game)? I don't care!" It just makes my heart smile. :)

I know you already brought it up, but I absolutely loved it during Nintendo's spotlight when they said they were "relieved" to see the Switch was being accepted so well. I mean, they aren't alone there, we're ALL relieved at it's success so far. I look forward to it's future, as well as my own future as a professional ARMS competitor...maybe.
