Larvitar, Pupitar, and Tyranitar are here!

The promised rework of the Tyranitar family is here, starting with the base set and soon to include the Mega and Future Paradox versions in the coming weeks. A lot of work went into fine tuning these girls, because they absolutely deserved it.

As previously mentioned, Larvitar is still due for an improved sprite, but generally speaking it simply means a polishing of the already existing sprite's pose (with my luck, however, some artist will release an entirely new one 0.00000053 seconds after I upload this). Still, I felt that Larvitar is well done enough to fit into the rework.

Besides, you're really only here for Tyranitar, aren't you?

Still, Pupitar came out rather well. It took some time to customize her hair appropriately to match her sprite, and I'm more than happy with the outcome, and the same goes for Tyranitar. Their outfits were also quite complicated and although they can't be fully replicated in KK due to the nature of physics and layers and other restrictions, the general outline is there.

I'm most happy with Tyranitar's tail, though, as I spent a bit of time wondering how to capture the essence of the sprite and had a creative light bulb go off while looking through accessories. The only unfortunate part is that the pieces sort of blend in together because of their color, but with Outline Thickness turned up the piece actually takes perfect form.

The only real change I made was keeping Tyranitar's eyes red. They should be in the sprite as well, but since the sprites are meant for the Romhack, there's a color limitation that prevents more than a certain amount of colors per sprite. The artist had to sacrifice her red eyes, but we're keeping them.

Mt. Silver

The scene for this set is included in the archive below. It contains a landscape view of Mt. Silver in the background, organized into a few main parts. For now, this is a preview of a future, larger Mt. Silver area, specifically the exterior (so, technically, Route 28 lol)

Enjoy!
