Hello everyone!

I'm working on the next release slated to come out tomorrow, but I wanted to address something some of you might be aware of, and that's the situation regarding DeathWeasel.

DeathWeasel, as most (if not all) of you should know, is the creator of several key/important plugins for Koikatsu, such as MaterialEditor, UncensorSelector, HairAccessoryCustomizer, FKIK, and several other mods, including one of my personal favorite quality-of-life plugins, AccessoryQuickRemove.

Unfortunately, for reasons no one seems to know why, DeathWeasel has up and abandoned Koikatsu modding, leaving his Patreon completely blank, which housed all of his mods.

It should go without saying, but I hope he's okay personally; everyone is worried about him, and rightfully so. We hope he returns as soon as possible.

If he doesn't, there's a big question as to what may happen to the development of his mods. Fortunately, he's left the sourcecode on Github, and there's already talk that someone on the Illusion Soft discord may pick up and maintain the code for several of the major plugins, like MaterialEditor.

All of that said, none of you should be particularly inconvenienced by this, since modding should remain relatively stable, and Koikatsu BetterRepacks may be less-and-less updated as Sunshine is set to release soon - next month to be exact.

The absolute worst case scenario is that we don't see any of these major plugins updated to work effectively for *newer* Illusion titles, since we're all fairly confident most plugins will work with the new Sunshine version of Koikatsu, and as long as nothing major breaks, most of DeathWeasels mods should continue to function for awhile - at least until either he returns, or someone else picks up the reins.

Meanwhile, if you need to access any of his mods, they should all be available by Patreon release here:

That's all for now. See you next drop!
