Mini-Update! Last Night's Issues Fixed + More! (Patreon)

Hey everyone, time for a small/quick update just to cover a few things and preview a few upcoming releases.

We're still in the middle of a "post-season" cleanup phase, so the next "major" update post will officially be Season 4 / Sinnoh. As I might have mentioned before, one of the reasons for pushing Gen 4 off a bit was to not only release a few missing Moemon that I skipped over, but also to allow the artists to finish up with a few incomplete or outdated Gen 4 sprites. As it stands now, there's only about half a dozen that still need to be finished or redone. Unfortunately some of those happen to be the starter Moemon, which is why I wanted to push it back a bit.

Now, before we go into the previews I wanted to quickly detail the problems that arose yesterday. The main problem was the missing hair, among other missing accessories. It turns out that downloading the BleedingEdge files through KKManager actually downloaded duplicate files into it's own folder.

If it wasn't already known, duplicate files cancel each other out and neither of them gets loaded. Now, I could simply recommend that you remove the entire folder, but that's not entirely necessary. The only problem would be any duplicate files within them.

Most importantly, however, is that if you are missing any hairs, you should first check that you have these files within your Sideloader mods folder:

If you do, then return to the Bleeding Edge folder. If you have duplicate files (particularly [Creamstar]AA2 Hair.zipmod) then remove that file. You can also safely do this with any duplicate mod. Any other non-duplicate files are safe to have still, but you would have to check all files individually. There exist independent 3rd party programs that can scan folders for duplicate files, but I'm not going to recommend any particular one. A quick Google search would find them, and that's really only necessary if you absolutely want to keep all unique files.

If for whatever reason you are missing all of the files in both folders, then something totally broke and you'll need to download the hairs either through KKManager again or through Creamstar's site here:

Now then, onto a few upcoming releases. As I stated before, we won't be doing any reworks for the foreseeable future; instead we'll be focusing on releases that got skipped over for whatever reason during their Generation.

Hoppip's family was to be posted yesterday, but as mentioned before, got pushed back due to several missing accessory pieces. They still aren't finished yet, but should be up by the 2nd -- unfortunately since I also got sick last night I haven't even had time to work on them today, except sleep!

Sunkern and Sunflora are still due up. I put them off a bit  because their hair is a nightmare, but I can make it work.

OH DID I JUST SAY WE WEREN'T DOING GEN 4 YET? Well I lied. Aipom was skipped over in Gen 2 and I'm not releasing her without her big sister, Abimipom..? Abibimop? Ambipom!

Same story with Yanma. Yanmega comes with her.

Obviously there's a lot more to come, including a Legendary which I don't quite want to reveal yet. But there is one other Gen 2 set that I intentionally avoided. You see, there's a pair of sprites that exist that I hate among all the rest. Well, okay, there's one in particular I hate. I've been holding off on the hopes that the sprite will be redone, but now the artists seem to just want to keep her around as a joke or something..

Yep, it's Wooper and Quagsire.

Aside from the usual Moemon, I've also been replaying some League of Legends recently, so perhaps expect some more girls from there. I've also been watching a few anime again and might throw out a few characters from certain shows..

Either way, there's plenty more to come this month including a few surprises. This is just a few that are planned. 

I'm sick with a cold/stuffy nose, which isn't the worst thing but it has slowed things down a bit. Still, expect Hoppip and her family to be out by the 2nd.

There's also a planned power outage in my area Feb 3rd which is going to disrupt things a bit as well, but I've planned around it.
